Or is the system capable of just attempting not to place a fake sig on a corner of the result? Because, in my example, some artists very consistently use signatures, but you might still want to emulate their style. Something it might fail to do if it can't use ANY of those images.

This probably depends on the model you are using and how the images were tagged, but In my experience, putting signature or logo in the neagative prompt usually changes the overall image, but it doesn't stop it from putting a signature on the gen.
I find it best to prompt for the artists that get you the image style you want, and inpaint any signatures away later.

Once again I feel that peculiar urge. Should I learn how to draw?

It will take you 1 year of doing nothing but drawing all day, every day, to reach a half-decent level. Or 10 years if you practice constantly a little bit every day. Meanwhile AI artwork generators will keep improving in the meanwhile.

Give up unless you particularly enjoy drawing yourself, there's no point anymore in learning how to draw/paint/sculpt for anything other than personal satisfaction. Ask yourself if it's worth throwing your time/life away for something that AI models will end up assimilating.

10 days ago or so I asked here about how to get into diffusion and was pointed to the diffusers library. Thanks, I toyed around with it on my macbook.
Now my CPU clearly doesn't handle much. Is there a guide how to fine-tune a model for text-to-image using a cloud service, e.g. (since I already have an account) the google cloud?

And how's the split, here, on working locally with GPUs vs. cloud usage?
