there is a somewhat common theme in greek myth of creatures or characters dying after serving their purpose in life. the sphinx outside throws herself from the cliffs to her death after Oedipus solves her riddle. her purpose was to pose the riddle and test those who would enter thebes and once that purpose was fulfilled, she dies

I'm not saying you should die, but you should maybe find a fresh purpose before you do

really good model for space stuff. I got some great scenes using it. the trickiest part is capturing a sense of scale cuz when you try to describe a spce ship or space station ro whatever, it always puts it right in the center of the whole scene

I've never interacted with chatGPT at all because didn't really have any need to and kind of scoffed everything surrounding it because some people are using it as a search engine or something.
But it's actually a fantastic tool to teach coding for example, if you keep it concise and ask it to iterate upon provided feedback and examples.
Don't even want to know how much gpu power one interaction with it is using.

I've read before that a chatgpt response uses the equivalent of one bottle of water. i have no idea why "bottles of water" is a relevant measurement. I've also read that one image generation costs as much power as charging a smartphone. all I know is that if AI is gonna save the planet, I hope it does so before it destroys the planet
>But it's actually a fantastic tool to teach coding for example
its good at communicating concepts, especially because you can ask follow up questions or dig for clarification on things that you don't immediately get. it can definitely come up with some goofy shit though. I wish it was more effective at authoring complex code

I used to work in some industry for so many years and asked that does it have any knowledge about software x and y and if so, what would be their latest versions.
And being retired haven't followed any developments for 8 years now I asked it to form an opinion regarding these two in professional perspective.
And its answer was pretty much what I thought myself.
I'm sorry can't divulge more because I'm not 'ani'.

I guess its knowledge about code in general is more or less about street level (which is great for teaching) but more esoteric it gets the more it will hallucinate because it simply doesn't understand anything.
I made a real time camera tracker in one evening and now I can track Call of duty players (they have magenta emblem) and draw vectors related to their position. I have some history especially in vector math and how to apply snippets of things together.
It records my desktop in realtime using bettercam and tracks magenta basically.
I can save it as a video or of course, I could make an aimbot but injecting mouse movement is probably bannable in that game.
Very interesting.
You can basically make a surveillance camera with openCV and it's interactive.

If you want realistic cast shadows then AI is not going to give you good results. It doesn't understand cast shadows at-fucking-all and just does a close approximation of what it sees in other paintings and photos. This is why you'll see the nose light up and nothing else. It doesn't make sense at all.

You're better off just using a 3d modeling program and dicking around with a 3d model and just move the light source around. Or better yet, get a model and some spot lights to take photos, If you weren't a complete fucking loser you would just have your GF do this for you.

we don't prioritize space travel as a civilization. we need to establish space mining so we can establish space manufacturing so we can establish space industry so we can actually build complex infrastructure and machinery in space. we're still at least a century removed from meaningfully existing in space. even then, it's really just gonna be earth, moon, and mars. maybe a few mining facilities around the asteroid belt, but not anywhere you'd wanna travel to

its a shame for the potential of humankind to be squandered as it is. we should be claiming our birthright among the stars but we refuse to crawl out of the mud

it's about the fact this planet is still stuck with physics from 1920.

the true nightmare scenario is there's no better physics to discover. we're fundamentally confined by e=mc2 and can never truly explore the galaxy, let alone even visit our closest neighbors. how depressing

I think there is. If you look at some past history it's not what is commonly accepted.
Long story short,- science outside math is based on truths from people who have indoctrinated their followers since 1800s.

So, i think humanity needs to invent zero point energy. It's not about stupidity but about the fact they think it's inconceivable.

I want to believe we're still in the infancy of our understanding of the universe but its hard to see beyond the veil of current limits. imo though thats one of the greatest potentials of modern AI. we have gigantic mountains of scientific research that has never been connected. there's countless breakthroughs already made lying dormant in the graveyard of publications, waiting to be discovered.

>>103159962
>zero point energy
its probably not real. if there were any inklings of potential there, you'd be seeing many billions of investments pouring into the field like we see for fusion. we definitely need a new paradigm now that we've entered the age of AI but its gonna have to be boring shit like nuclear and solar. while ZPE requires breakthroughs we haven't even made yet, a dyson sphere is possible with today's technology and gives us enough energy for millennia

What would be the best way to animate this picture? I have created it using MonsterQR and just used some symbols as input.

Now I would like to just get a really slight, slimey, worm-like movement on these symbol.

I tried yesterday some workflow for AnimateDiff but it like completely changed the input image,

stick with animatediff and figure it out. it'll be your best bet for achieving slight movement. if you're GPU rich with a 24gb vram card, mochi is a great option too. if you're desperate for another option, I've seen some people get cogvideox to work but it doesn't seem like a easy model to work with
>>
>>103164433

So you're saying what I want to achieve is feasible within AnimateDiff?

I'm on RTX 3090 but I heard it takes long time even with 24GB VRAM to run Mochi locally.

I just can't figure out the motion_bucket_id parameter and I think it's fucking it up.

Any recommended workflows or tips to get me rolling with AnimateDiff?

its a beast of a model but also the SOTA local video model by a wide margin

no, sorry. I've never dipped into video personally. I think the stable diffusion subreddit has a bunch of animators, so you can try digging around there for workflows or guides

Thanks in advance.
The one on comfy site is dev Flux and civitai is full of retarded workflows that require 9000+ custom nodes completely unrelated to Flux.
A1111 and it's forks are so poorly optimized they will over-use system resources for any Flux checkpoint.

Dear Lujan,
I hope my previous letter didn't scare you - I know the attentions of the superior sex can overwhelm the uninitiated. Nevertheless, I will persist. It occurs to me you may feel anxiety over the fact you look like a woodland creature. Well, I am happy to report a woodland creature is fine too. So don't you worry about that, love. But we may want to budget lipo and eyelid reduction. Anyhoots ttyl <3 anon

EasyAnimate doesn't really work, I'm guessing it's just alibaba faking the open source aspect with a broken setup.
They've got fucked up python deps (for deepspeed, accelerate and a couple more), wrong params, and overall a borked UI.
Better luck next time.

This might be a stretch but have you ever done any experimentations with Python and hooking SetWindowsHookEx with WH_KEYBOARD_LL? I think I should use C but would hate to install all the compiler crap.

Some guy, he had a show where he fired the vice president, it was hilarious. But, she seemed to understand that, as a woman, her job is to obey.

depends on what you wanna do. 12gb is enough for most current gen imgen. full precision flux and sd35 start to get a little too big once you add in t5 encoder to the mix but both have quantized versions that provider tighter form factors. when you start adding in extra stuff like controlnets or local LLMs, you might find 12gb to be limiting but you can make do

if you wanna be at the cutting edge though, especially with video/animation, 12gb isn't enough. the 24gb cards are OP but very expensive. the 5090 is rumored to be 32gb. I think going for 12gb now is probably good and then you can upgrade in the future if you find the money and motivation.

but make sure you buy something before january. the trump admin is likely going to put tariffs on chip imports and a new gpu can potentially double in price. you're on a time crunch for your upgrade
