turns out the Flux VAE is much more malleable that anticipated, and it has an Apache license whereas the full model has a cucked license.

Alright, sorry for the basic bitch question but I'm trying to get something with openpose figured out
So, if you upload an image to controlnet you can run the preprocessor to get whatever type of control image you want. Sometimes the preprocessor doesn't recognize the image but that's fine, I can click on the "edit" button and it opens this handy little SD-WEBUI-OPENPOSE-EDITOR thing. I can move the image around, rescale it, add and move around models, etc etc.
So I do that, posing some skeletons over the image where they should be, and then click "download image" to get it. But for some reason it automatically scales the image to this weirdo zoomed in resolution.

Yeah, it's set to 832x1216 in txt2img in this example. I had it set to "crop and resize" but I just tried it with "just resize" and "resize and fill" and both give the exact same result
There's "resolution" in controlnet itself, but I've tried setting that to just about everything and it still cuts off the top and bottom for whatever reason

Is there way to get the ip adapter implementation in comfy to work the same as in A1111? The closest I got was using "weak output" or "strong middle" for weight_type but it's like 80% of the way there. The faces look similar but colors and texture are still off.

This should never happen. If your preprocessor is screwed then it will be fucked.

Ditch the openpose and try canny to get your settings right. Use an image that you just generated to ensure resolution is matching.

Maybe 'not recognize the image' was a poor choice of words. What I mean is if I use something like my example pic that's just a white image with no people in it then the openposer's output is a black rectangle, because there's nothing to make skeletons off of. I was using that as an example just to test, but the problem is reproduceable with images with actual people in it. It's just that the image I was actually trying to control net on isn't blue board

I am too dumb to follow that entirely. If you click the red button and you don't get a skelleton where the blue error is then it is not going to work. If you attempting to load the wireframe directly it needs to be "none" for the pre-processor. It will still populate by the blue arrow.

As a dumb check make sure yellow arrow is checked. I have personally burnt hours on this screw up.

I set the resolution to 832, to note it now opens "properly" so to speak, width is 832 and height is 1216, proper to what my sample image is. So I add a skeleton, again just to try and see if I can get the base image up. overall noobai has better colors, better contrast, finer details, better situational awareness, ability to listen to all the tags (i'm a nervous_smile enjoyer, pony has trouble with that but noobai aces it every time)
so yeah, long time pony user but i'm making the switch to noobai, just need to train my niche artists loras on it and we golden

Can't say I agree that in this specific comparison either one is better, they both seem fine.
I know that pony (or is that just autismmix?) has a certain default color tone which I've come to hate but in your examples I would prefer the more pastel mellow look to the neon bright on the right.
But in general alright. I knew Illustrious was much better with anime, and I do believe you about noobai and furry now.

i asked myself the same question, turns out i wasn't using the right fucking sampler on noobai, i just copied the settings across both workflows but apparentl dpm++ 2s a has a tendency to oversatirate images a bit
switched to euler and it seems to have fixed it, i'm running a big xy plot of all sampler and scheduler combinations to try and find the best one, will gib results soon

So far it seems like it. Even here in Europe I haven't noticed a lot of moves on regulating it. For all I know America is even more stingy with it's patents and copyrights, and yet I haven't noticed much in regards to it.

I just tried CogVideoX-1.5 I2V and it's... kinda dissapointing, the best results I got was the character moving for 1 second and then doing nothing for the rest of the time, and the worst results was just some slow ass zoom, this model is just allergic to action, I'm still waiting for I2V vae from Mochi, that shit will deliver
