I've been tinkering with shit and it definitely feels like the best way to handle larger or long term RPs is to record and summarize developments in the lorebook for the character or the world book and then just restart the chat every so often, like each major scene or plot. The Claude JB I'm using cuts off at like 8k tokens by default and I've pushed it up to like 20k before and it's seemed fine but the more tokens the more each post costs. It definitely seems better to build refreshing the chat into the routine.
