She didn't turn out as Albanian as she was supposed to, but yeah

Of all the arbitrary obsessions (or, if you rather, mental illnesses) I've developed from years of prompting my on-and-off fascination with Albanians is the hardest to explain. I can't think of a single real Albanian I've ever found attractive, although I'm sure one exists... nonetheless I feel drawn to prompting them, even though it makes my outputs worse. And I don't even know how to judge whether the outputs look legit or not. Occasionally I google "albanian people"/"albanian woman" etc to try to learn what they look like so I can judge my gens better.

I've only ever heard bad things about Albanians and I suspect I wouldn't like them if I met one. But it doesn't matter.

Cuter than most.

I can only imagine if I'd had this tech when I was a kid. I'd be using my hand-drawn swords as canny controlnets for genning... taking home a piece of paper at the end of the school day covered in swords, scanning them and getting to work making Warcraft 3 cinematic quality pseudo-renders which I could print out and show my friends at recess

I think the availability of celeb images is actually better than what you'd get from this kind of endeavor—the biggest available gains imo aren't in creating a carefully-planned dataset but rather in developing a better theory of how to caption images for maximum learning. Right now it feels like all our ideas about how images should be captioned for training are barely better than guessing.

Our recent resources have been occupied by other more important businesses, so the 768p model was only fine-tuned for a few steps based on the 384p version. Once the in-hand work is completed, we will continue to optimize the performance of miniflux 768p version.

Which is the option you suggest, by voting with ones wallet, or is there a solution other than point1.) that involves not giving Nvidia money and yet having say 32GB of Vram?

personally im upgrading from my 1080 to a 3090ti, not even sure which model yet, i guess whatever one doesnt have that new firestarter cable.
that shit is going to tank down to $600 stable price Q1 next year after the 5000 series has its start, honestly best possible time to buy one more than likely.
But dont take my word for it concretely, watch what others say. That's how i came to my conclusion.
I'm sure there's other middleground cards that do pretty well with Ai, i mean i'm getting by with my 1080 right now training my style lora for noob/illistrious, i imagine any of the 3000 series with 8 gigs or higher will blow my card out of the water for speed at the same resolutions so worst case scenario if 3090 isn't the greatest option we're not totally fucked.
It's just once you break into needing more than 24 gigs that's where it's grim, and we're getting there.

fuck for a guy running on no sleep i sure can rant.

You can either make a model that draws on all the photos ever posted, spanning decades, rich with all manner of content—or you can make a model that only draws on the tiny selection of crisp HD content available, and capable only of reproducing the limited mix of styles contained therein.

You want the latter because it's "more realistic"(?), I want the former because it is many orders of magnitude more varied and interesting.

There is no such thing as "adding artefacts" and "lowering quality" by the way. You either cull an enormous quantitiy of imperfect images from the dataset, or you keep them. The model does not know how to separate the artefacts from the "content" of the image.

Then why are you complaining about Flux? The default behavior of Flux without any tricks or deliberately prompting "blurry" etc is to produce HDslop. Shouldn't you be happy?

I deliberately prompted "score_7" etc when I used Pony. Anyone who used Pony knows that prompting "score_9" produced a very specific style which was often not desirable—so it can hardly be called a perfect solution or in any way a "definitive" (lol) refutation of what I said. Siloing the artefacted or low-quality content under a prompt tag is better than culling it completely but you still don't really get access to those styles unless you prompt for low quality intentionally. The model cannot separate the artefacts from the content.

Besides, people still bitched and complained (wrongly imo) that Pony had too much low quality training. Pony and Flux have a lot in common.

Fair—I forgot what started this. I might have had you mixed up with the pony realism retard who is on a crusade against Flux. So I didn't need to defend Flux's training, fine. But the argument I laid out there still supports my point, which IS contrary to what you said, that targeting these trained low-quality styles when prompting has a purpose. It's not "low skill".

You're still totally wrong to have said "adding artifacts and lowering quality", which is not an accurate description of what any model does and is unpromptsmanlike thinking. You arrogantly blundered by presenting "score_9" etc as a definitive refutation of my point that the model struggles to separate content from visual style from "quality" etc. Pony's ham-fisted attempt to isolate quality as a variable is an evident failure to anyone who has actually used Pony, because the same prompt/seed with different score tags will have obviously different visual styles. That is proof of my point that the model can't cleanly separate the artefacts from the other visual content. Add "jpeg_artifacts" to the front of any prompt and you'll immediately see a dramatic change of style.

The model cannot separate the artefacts from the content.
>>
The pony realism guy might be the only actual schizo we've ever had. I know that word gets thrown around a lot but he presents as a genuine case (or a good imitation).

The way he never responds to any particular post because he sees this whole thread as him vs us, no need to reply to anyone in particular. Details like that. The extremely private meanings of the songs he links—this whole fight figures in some grand personal narrative (intertwined with national politics of course)—mostly opaque to the rest of us, but the glimpses we get of what it means are totally banal.

The banality is the main thing. He never rises to the level of being interesting. His images are of an unusually low quality, even for this thread. His 'sexy' gens are sexual in the crudest sense, big-breasted children. Mostly all he does is cuss and blather platitudes about "opening your eyes" etc, and think out loud about which settings he's tweaking—without giving the impression he understands what they do. A very shallow person, very low IQ. He's the most boring person in this thread and he thinks he's the most interesting.

This is what schizophrenics are like. It might be real. If he's pretending, uh, well done, but why?

interest doesn't mean anything given how the entire space is full of bandwagon retards that spam 1girls. I think so, it isn't FLUX and is getting less attention but medium at least seems like a better SDXL since it generates at around the same speed and is a better base model.

just tying to negate a future "why does my output not look like this one on civitai? i copied the settings and everything" post
>you can also download the picture and load it
even then, odds are it wont look /exactly/ alike. plus civitais only plus is being essentially the oldest and most popular model sharing site - everything else about it sucks ass. sucks enough ass to make it rarely worth it. someone else needs to make a better one

Why is everyone obsessed with recreating people's images one to one? How dumb are you if you can't figure out the basics of prompting.
>>
>>103191329
if you figured out how to get good outputs, and i mean the top 1% this general has ever seen, without any assistance or guidance from anyone else, then i would like to take measurements of your cranium and send them to the most prestigious university in china

5 years ago I would've laughed to your face because China was "the country that copy from the best but do a worse copy" but now that China is dominating the AI space I have to admit that those chinks are smarter than I thought, and they're dominating the AI space while being nerfed by the US because they can't buy too many Nvdia GPUs in there

Holy shit you really are stupid, at a certain point it's all subjective opinion you fucking retard. With modern models, especially Flux, you get good results with basically any prompt. So then you simply get to the point of producing images that match your taste. But then again, you're a retard that copies people's prompts and settings 1:1 because you have no taste.

Again, how fucking stupid are you?

which is really Orwelian when I always read that sentence, China was always considered as that autoritarian hellhole and the west was always considered as the land of freedom. Objectively it's always the case but there's a serious shift in our culture, when you look at western AI models compared to chink models, it's the western AI models that are way more cucked. For example OpenAI still doesn't want to release Sora because of """"safety"""" wheras the chinks have released MiniMax and in there you can make Trump do funni shit. For the chinks, AI is the perfect soft power tool to make us believe that they're a cooler country than the US, and it's fucking working, I like the chinks now! Where's my social credit score???
>>
>>103191480
They don't release Sora because it's actually dogshit and OpenAI first and foremost is a smoke and mirrors company that tries to scam the maximum amount of investment. If you had access to Sora you'd realize it's actually pretty shit. Just remember, OpenAI once said GPT-3 was going to destroy the world and can't be trusted with humanity. We now run models much better than GPT-3 locally and completely uncensored.

>They don't release Sora because it's actually dogshit
I don't believe that, a bad model would never produce an insane video even with sheer luck,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1t4d9dgSwM

And back then when they announced Sora (almost a year ago whew) the best video models we had was the first iteration of will smith... it was something...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQr4Xklqzw8

They made a giant mistake, they had to release it back then for the wow effect, other companies have now caught up to their level. Maybe they improved Sora since then but if they decide to release the same Sora now, no one would really give a fuck because we know it would be another OpenAI cuckedTM product and we have more fun alternatives like MiniMax or Mochi for example

I've absolutely seen better Minimax videos and they weren't run on a super computer from cherry picked generations. That video literally isn't anything fancy and likely very close to an existing from a video from their training data. And yes, if you spin out 1000 videos, one of them is going to look good by accident. I'll say it again, OpenAI is first and foremost a grifting company, their samples always favor what the model is good at and avoids anything it's bad at and they don't make it public because everyone would find the nasty monster gens pretty quickly just like the melted face video we saw earlier.
>>
>>103191375
i dont disagree with your foundation that seeking to recreate others outputs 1:1 is unfruitful (as we all know that is rarely if ever possible due to numerous factors). i was merely attempting to dissuade anon from using civitai as a vehicle for it as apposed to finding that information from anons here. we probably both agree that >>103191272 is one of if not the most retarded pieces of advice you can give to anon but i think its equally retarded to guard your metadata like a dragon on its pile of gold. sometimes im simply curious what the prompt was or what the workflow looks like, its like taking a look inside the brain of your peers (where other hobby allows us to do that?) - if anything, its a compliment. and i dont mind sharing so if anon asks im happy to oblige.

If you have no idea what you're doing for prompts, any prompt from CivitAI can give you a starting point for experimenting, or at least give you a glimpse into how one might prompt a model. I think you're overthinking it.

And yes, you're retarded. Because prompting is easy. You literally type what you want to see, so it's just about having a vocabulary. We're well beyond SD 1.5 shit flinging prompts where the dataset was poorly captioned using image alt tags.

perhaps but again why would we not encourage anon to get that information here, from other anons, as apposed to an off-chan shithole like civitai? the only explanation i can think of is someone thinking their metadata is special and if they share it they will lose a part of their very being.
>Because prompting is easy
you say that like anon isnt a retard

to be fair we have no idea about the size of MiniMax, maybe you need actual supercomputers to run it

Yeah I don't know man, OpenAI absolutely delivered on LLM (gpt4) and on imagegen (dalle3), if I had to choose one company that is the most likely to succeed I would go for OpenAI, and I say this as a fucking OpenAI hater, I hate their fear mongering about AI, I hate their """"safety"""" bullshit they put on their models, but I can't overlook the fact that their product are almost always top tier

Any tricks to dealing with lack of negative prompt in flux? If you want to avoid X does putting "without X" work like i never would with other models?
>>
>>103193278
>Any tricks to dealing with lack of negative prompt in flux?
you can use negative prompt, if you go for CFG 1 + an anti CFG burner

>>
>>103193294

what difference does a negative prompt makes?

like
positive: vagina
negative: penis

is that all it does?
>>
>>103193353
>what difference does a negative prompt makes?
it removes stuff you don't want on a picture, you can't do that with just a positive prompt because text encoder don't know how to deal with "without X", so yeah, if you only want to see vaginas and no penis, that's how you should do it
>>
>>103193368
thats it? what if you just reinforce the things you want to see and promt like "hairless" instead of not "not hairy"?
>>
>>103193382
there's a lot of ways to remove something you don't want, you can mix them up, add "hairless" on the positive prompt + "hair" on the negative prompt could be more efficient for example

if you just go for CFG > 1 you'll get burned pictures, flux dev isn't "supposed" to work like that, that's why there's some anti CFG burners that can help, there's 4 of them

The point is these models aren't trained with "without" captions. Captions are inherently biased to positive descriptions, where the caption describes what can be seen. Hairless is a keyword that exists because you can describe something as hairless, like a hairless cat. Same with bald, "there is a bald man". Very rarely if at all will an image be captioned with "not".
