I picked up the new Mac mini m4 a few days ago. I'm returning it tomorrow. Apple has really fallen from grace. You can't run anything on it anymore. Emulators refuse to run.
>Emu cannot be opened because the developer can not be verified. Move to bin or cancel
Yeah you can fuck right the fuck off. Apple can eat my whole ass. I guess there's a solution but it requires disabling the security gatekeeper entirely so you can run things and get malware. What the fuck are Apple thinking?

I don't like apple either but it should be able to run most emulators just fine. not sure why you'd get a mini just for emulation, though

>poorfag larping about letting apple spy on them when Emu doesn't even work is not worth it.

You need to unlock that shit in privacy settings. A google search would have let you know that.

Literally get the privacy.sexy scripts, enable everything, then disable the signed application requirement. Enjoy your better Linux.
>>
Oh and use whisky for fuck's sake stop trying to find little rinkydink emulators for macos when the windows ones are updated more frequently and run better
>>
>>103221946
tbf, the mini is the best deal apple has ever given people. I think this is an extend, embrace, extinguish approach toward people trying to hop from windows to get them into Crapple's walled garden. It's a neat trick because the mini m4 is literally one of the best PCs on the market right now and it's a fraction of what a good windows machine costs with scalpers prices on graphics cards.

We don't even know what the geometric mean in openbenchmark compared to the 8500G is going to be like yet. Jumping to conclusions like this is pretty risky given Apple's perfect track record for outright lying to customers.

anon, it’s just you being an idiot who doesn’t even try to search how to get things done
look at this guy running PSP, 3DS, Gamecube, Wii, PS2, Xbox, Wii U, PS3, Switch emulator on the exact same m4 mac mini you bought
also, you can run unsigned apps if you try to open it and then open System Settings, go Privacy & Security, Scroll down to the bottom then you’ll see Allow button there
it’s a security measure designed to minimize security risks by preventing you having segs with random whores on the street but if you don’t like it, you can completely disable it by running a command on terminal
sudo spctl --master-disable
>>
>>103222121
The System Preference method doesn’t disable the whole security system

iToddlers buying macbooks to emulate, meanwhile the steam deck is cozy as fuck and doesn't need to be unlocked by Tim Apple
>>
I seriously don't understand the use case for this shit, the only thing I can think of is developing ios apps. There are better solutions for every other use case.

There's people genuinely retarded enough to believe Apple's marketing without waiting for extensive verification of these claims, as usual.
>>
>>103222107
Okay but think of it this way: how much would it cost you, right now, to build a computer with a 8500G in it? I bet it's a lot more than the price you can buy the mini for right now with any .edu email that you get for signing up to a community college lecture for free. If you want performance, then yeah, it makes no sense. If you just want a cheap and fast computer running something other than Windows, then its the best deal they've ever offered.
>>
>>103222457
Nope, there's ~$60 AM5 motherboards now and similarliy priced 16GB DDR5 RAM kits. You would have been correct like 2 years ago though, I think the cheapest motherboard was like $200 and $100 for a 16GB DDR5 RAM kit as well back then.

Also this is completely ignoring the fact that you can upgrade the SSD/RAM so I'm being extremely optimistic toward the value aspect of a Mac mini here.
>>
>>103222485
I need to get in on that, then. That sounds like a bargain on Black Friday.

They removed that "feature" in one of the new updates and the m4 comes with that shit preinstalled. You can disable gatekeeper but that disables the firewall and everything else. It also disables the app store and locks you from being able to use airdrop and other services that make using apple products worth owning. You can't use a smart home device without gatekeeper for example. It's total bullshit now.

not sure if deliberately lies or just satania is retarded as usual

lol a mac is too hard to use for this faggot. imagine getting filtered by the settings in macos. stick to windows you actual child
>>
>>103223175
They removed the ability to run unsigned code entirely.
>>
>>103223181
It's not entirely but it's a pain right in the ass. Open terminal for any app you want to run and input this command every time you want to run it:
xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/app name.app
Apple made running apps harder than using Linux for some unknown reason.

Only poor people use iPhones.

Every single iPhone user I have met in at least 7 years is poor as fuck. Destitute, in fact.

And the only other people I know with iPhones are prostitutes

This is the first "give it back Jamal" thread where the nigger actually realized what he did, and returned the merchandise he stole.
If you can surpass your mirror neurons screaming at you to steal shit in the first place, then try to fit in on /g/, you might make Honorary White in your lifetime.
