I have a conspiracy that phone OSes aren't dumbed down because desktop features are hard to implement on phones, but rather that desktop functionality = work to most people and being able to distance themselves from a desktop computer (and therefore work) while still having a internet capable device is important to most people. They would subconsciously reject a phone that could function as a desktop computer even if it were as easy to use as iOS.

>>103223357I am a software engineer and i use arch for development and as my main os. I would not like to use i3 or hyprland on my phone. If there was however a nice android like UI i don't see why not. The libre phones that we have today like Librem are not that great, samsung and xiaomi are so much better by hardware.
