So basically this is also shit alternative, but less shit than other more shit search engines. Even duckduckgo was considered good but then they now have shady history, shady owner, tracking/ads, shit search results (even many large known websites just doesn't show in results) etc. SearX is mostly shit while the idea was good. Either you are connecting directly to Google and Bing to get shit results if you host yourself or using public instances, you have to change instance once a day or sometimes all of them all broken/down. Then there is some really buggy slow search engines that are hosted one person with shady history that you have to trust.

Good luck I guess, but I'm sure there's a good reason why Google and Bing are so dominant no matter the number of forks. It's probably a similar situation to browsers.
