There's lots of stuff that runs on timers in the background, like indexing files for searching, clearing old cache entries, sending webcam video and audio recordings of everything you do to the government... it was probably just one of those.

>>103224392mine was doing this, and it turns out that the problem was an indexer hitting the cpu hard for a brief moment, which would send the temp up, the process would quit but the fans would then come on to bring the temp back to normal. Drove me crazy because by the time I would check the processes there would be nothing unusual going on.
