The Midway Games booth was showing Stranglehold, their then upcoming third-person shooter made together with John Woo. The consoles were in plexiglass cases, which probably turned them into greenhouses. The PS3 crashed when I was at level 3 and the staff couldn't get it running again. So they closed the station and I played the Xbox 360 version instead. From start to finish, several weeks ahead of its release. Unfortunately I only have shitty screen photos of the credits.
Earlier that day I met Hideo Kojima at a special Metal Gear Solid 4 screening.

Used to have this. Now I'm trying to figure out a workstation setup with minimal foorprint.
I studied rack frames and pictured I'd build one on wheels, with a PC, my monitor arm, and have floating keyboard and mouse shelves (either attached or separate, whichever is firmer). Has anyone ever done anything like this, or have any ideas on what may work?

yeah it's up to you how well you can design it to work. if you are decent with wood you can just a regular wall mounting 6-12u rack, or something akin to audio racks. transfer your PC into a rack-mountable case, get rackmount kvm, and mount or build some sturdier shelves for keyboard and mouse and mount the monitor arm like you said. put the whole rack on a big piece of wood with some caster wheels under it and voila.

1600x1200 is still a good enough resolution for modern stuff, and the 2007fpb has all of the ports for connecting old consoles
It used to be the main pc on dvi, Dreamcast on vga, Wii on svideo and I’d swap other consoles to the composite input.
But now with the little magnavox crt I find myself plugging stuff into that instead so I might swap it back to a 1080p 144hz monitor

I'm working now. It is going great. Too bad that I will spend a lot of time disassembling and returning and getting it replaced. I found a number of.quality deviations, optical and structural.

I dont regret having returned and replaced the massive black tabletop at the start of 2024 after the (not ikea) office furniture delivered it with minor scuffs and a mildly deformed corner. They charge a lot of money, can we at least get stuff of good quality? Damnit

The thing is that this table frame would be PERFECT if not for the quality deviations (scratches, chips, deformations)

It is so damn solid and stable. Much more stable than my previous desk. Also it has a really good weight to it.

So I wanna keep it but then again I want an unscathed one

I also feel like the bars on the floor (the feet) are not perfectly parallel to eachother/not perfectly 90 degrees vs the table length, so it triggers my ocd)
