What are the technical differences between Bluesky and Mastodon? Which one is designed better?

Mastodon is better if you're a big fan of free competition and the free marketplace of ideas and would rather cater your own social media experience than have a blackbox algorithm that no one understands do it for you.Bluesky is better if you hate Twitter but refuse to stop using it.If you're not a faggot who only knows about the social media services that the mainstream media talks about there's also Pleroma, Misskey, and a bunch of other services that all federate with one another and have subtly different functionality and implementations.
