>Ai will wipeout all mid-skilled desk jobs by the end of the decade
>Millions whom fell for the college-education pipeline meme will be stranded and crushingly indebted (right now I know 2 people with 4-year degrees working as garbage men since it pays more than what their peers are making)
>Boom, 2nd Great Depression hits like a truck, makes the OG one look like 2008
>U.S. slowly deteriorates into a hyper-differentiated caste system like shitville india (except it resembles the dilapidated Rust Belt but nationwide)
>Billions of bots will advance Dead Internet Theory into an inescapable norm, fooling most of the general midwitted-and-shrinking IQ population into adopting absurd and/or politically pushed narratives (like we have today but on steroids)
>Ai-generated movies and television with Ai-generated uncancellable controversy-free celebrities mass-produced by the second. 40 new capeshit films released by Disney per day. Fuck it, you can personalize the films and insert yourself in it too like modding video games
>We will reach a turning point where the average person trusts an Ai more than another human, when it comes to medical advice/diagnosis, legal counseling, life skills, etc. All education will boil down to Ai generated teachers (Covid proved that anyone can get a degree from a respected university by watching lecture recordings and taking online tests)
>"Ai Wranglers" will become a new profession: Those who can vet models into producing optimal results without truly understanding the inner mechanisms, like cowboys taming the herd
>Global War over the microprocessor factories like it's the new Holy Land
What else am I forgetting?

The powers that be have a new system, that has been in the development for decades now, ready to be rolled out in the coming years. It will operate in parallel starting sometime next year and by the next decade it will be fully operational as the Agenda 2030 goals are slowly being implemented.
There will be no collapse, no violence, no uprising, no world war, no revolution, no killing of jews or politicians or other such fantasies. Instead there will be law & order, compliance and total surveillance until the very end. AI will be at the center of it all.

The Great Reset is inevitable.

Euro cities (in Belgium, Germany, Italy, Sweden, and Ireland) to deploy a EU-funded trial of AI-surveilled cities. In Italy, Trento is one of them. Three systems are employed (the names themselves tell it all):
>"Marvel", used to detect criminal acts
>"Protector", used to protect places of worship from hate crimes
>"Precrisis", used to identify any vulnerabilities in the monitored places
The systems will detect suspect behaviors based on audio and video inputs, reporting them to law enforcement agencies. Fuck this shit! I'm waiting for this Chinese Union to collapse. The worst thing is that boomers cheer for these initiatives (the same retards who cheered for the scamdemic shenanigans).

>Netanyahu was asked by Fox News host Mark Levin whether the large growth seen in recent years in Israel’s technology sector, specifically tech start-ups, was part of Netanyahu’s plan. Netanyahu responded, “That’s very much my plan … It’s a very deliberate policy.” He later added that “Israel had technology because the military, especially military intelligence, produced a lot of capabilities. These incredibly gifted young men and women who come out of the military or the Mossad, they want to start their start-ups.”

IDK about you, but we're having a pretty good time over here in rural western PA. Many people own their houses outright (or have a small mortgage that inflation would destroy), food is plentiful, the majority of rural people have some level of blue collar hands-on skills, etc.
If you're unemployed and have time on your hands, you only need enough money to pay property tax ($200/month) and buy things you can't reasonably make yourself.

I have some very bad news for you, anon. We're not gonna make it past the next 20 years, unless some miraculous energy technology suddenly appears.
Besides, AI (in the form of LLMs) is starting to consume so much energy that it too is contributing to our eventual demise from climate change.

Good luck running your technocracy on a burning planet.

midwit thread.
If your business wanted to automate you away they could have done it years ago. The current "A I" hype right now is so overhyped it's not even funny. Anyone with half a braincell could automate away most jobs where you're just reading from scripts and bullshit.

If all these companies do now is make AI aggregate news, why the fuck would they be profitable? What value do they add over us doing that ourselves?

Not that it's actually new, most journalism has been copying from others and adding a few errors while trying to make it sound distinct and has been worthless.

>Local tv news
That's been circling the drain for decades. That he mentions people 50+ is significant because that's the minimum wage to still watch "The Action 7 News Team". It sucks for those who will lose their jobs but the reality is local news operations have been shrinking since the internet came along. AI is just the latest tool in a long list of technologies that have upended the old business model.
There's a news station in South Korea that's now replacing their "news presenters" with AI generated talking heads. Most viewers won't care about the difference.

>>

What are you implying, anon?
>>
>>103236042
>>103236053
If we can get the cost of housing & healthcare down, everything else should follow.
The reason that labor costs so much is because employees need to be able to afford a place to live and medical treatment.
Housing costs a ton because we've restricted the supply of it. Zoning laws make it virtually illegal to build anything that's not a 2000 sq ft detached single family home with a big yard. There's only so much land within commuting distance of a city. Thus, once it fills up, the limited supply of housing results in bidding wars.

Employees have to make enough money to afford these expensive homes, so employers have to pay more, and the cost gets reflected in literally everything. Who wins? The people who bought homes 30+ years ago. My parents bought their house for $90k in 1998, it's now worth at least $320k, if not more.

And the labor shortage in the US is about to get 10x worse lmao. Its alright though because Trump is pro-Jeet. They'll just be working at farms instead of tech companies.

>>103236169
True, but the cost of housing isn't going to go down, unless the bubble pops again, which people keeping saying "this is the year!" and then it isn't. I'm not worried about Trumps part in this, just the overall Republican party, which has historically been extremely opposed to any changes in this regard. On top of that, healthcare costs are only going to go up as long as we have big pharma lobbyists lining politician's pockets, thats not changing in our lifetime. Its like the most entrenched bullshit you could possibly imagine.

Both of these things are reliant on thinking that politicians will do things because its for the good of the general population.

Machine learning AIs have a narrow use case and job elimination will only hit certain industries hard.

Machine learning will end up being great at making photograph-like images and doing video interpolation for Hollywood. Professional stock editors can curate photographs and videos that they feed into the machine learning and ensure that the models aren't learning from artificial images. Treasure-in, treasure-out.
Similar comments apply to astronomers and star mapping, biology, radiology, and so on.

But machine learning in other domains (a) isn't highly curated and accepts social media garbage and artificial content during training (b) there is an arm's race of normal users, fraudsters, and competitors who have a vested interest in breaking any application of machine learning models for their own gain.

Curating content will be in demand, 'quality assurance' will be in demand, if fraud gets bad enough then in-person business may become the norm again in some industries.

i don't really think the proliferation of AI shit will lead to much aside from enshittification. but the question remains which market forces will prevail, the suits' zeal to blindly optimize and streamline everything, or the actual consumer's desire to actually have something that isn't worthless slop. at the moment, all capital and therefore all power remains steadily in the hands of the first group so we're gonna see a lot of attempts at replacing functional systems with slightly cheaper but completely ineffectual AI slop. methinks they won't actually change their ways, they'll just sink these industries wholesale until someone perhaps reinvents news again

Finally, we can keep the news narrative 100% as directed from the corporate news owners without it being obvious propaganda. AI can tweak each stations propos just a little bit and probably in the accent of that area. We can program Oregonians and Texans equally for once.

AI consuming too much energy is beneficial, because now the companies have to step in, guess what? Microsoft is restarting operations on Three Mile Island and investing in small scalereactors too. Administration are the easiest jobs to automate, meaning they will all be gone

What is bad for society is that people working in administration are not only bad at their job, but also worthless at anything else, meaning they won't find new jobs
