Hi. I have tried 3 different new headphones in the last 2 months, Sony, Sennheiser, and JBL. All three were defective. I had to return them.

I'm forced to use my old headphones with broken plastic that I managed to fix with duct tape. They are old, but still work.

I don't know any other famous brands that are known for quality.

Does anybody know why new headphones from quality brands have turned to junk?

Can you suggest other famous brands in the range of $200 that are still high quality?

The UGreen Max5c will be just as good as the snoys for $25

Have you ever tried quality headphones?

I was like you before trying them.

Bro, its just a little processing on top of making magnets vibrates, there is no physical difference between "quality" headphones and superior cheap chifi

I'm going to assume you're looking for bl*etooth headphones/headset so here's what I bought for work:
Shure Aonic 50 Gen 2

Pros:
-Seem to be built quite well with stiff metal arms holding the earcups
-Turbo Bluetooth range
-All day battery EZ
-Can use em as normal headphones when the battery fucks out
-Have a way to mute mic on-headphone (requirement for me)
-Decent noise cancellation
-Decent sound
-All the advanced features are configurable thru an app.
-Can pair to 2 devices at once.
-Havent had any major issues or flakiness, always just connects.

Cons:
-All the advanced features are configurable thru an app.
-Fairly expensive
-Heavy (for me this is a pro but massive headphones don't bother me)
-Not the most compact
-Android app gave me some issues working. iOS worked well but Android crashed. Clearing app cache fixed this on Android though weirdly and support was good.
-It doesn't remember what position the ANC switch is in when turned off. 3 positions. If I have it on the low position when turn off headset then then back on it comes up as if it's in the middle. Returning switch to middle before turn off or just turning switch to middle then back down again after turn on fixes. Super minor but weird.

Use case:
-Phonecalls on a VoIP phone
-Music
-Mostly stationary at a desk

That's about the most I can nitpick this set they've been good. Had them roundabout a year now I think.

he's just going to break those as well

He'd have to be tapping into tard strength, they're fairly beefy. You'd have to be trying.

Dude, it's an unknown brand that costs $400.

I'm talking about popular brands for $200 max.

I guess i'll hijack, but i'm thinking about some new headphones. Wireless is a nice to have, leaning towards either the Cambridge Audio P100 on the mid range, or the B&O HX

Mainly because both have user replaceable batteries, though i'm open to other options.

Shure is not an unknown brand you muppet.

Thanks. I will try the Cambridge Audio P100.

the ugreens are actually very good. sounds similar to my akg k701 but with better bass due to being sealed (although i like open back because they don't get as sweaty). It was a different story years ago but now we have cheap and well designed headphones, as >>103237653
says there's really no reason decent should have been so expensive for so long. I guess incrementally better drivers/dsp got incrementally cheaper plus the companies started realizing the importance of enclosure design.
