I feel bad for the AI guys in the video; they were probably proud to get to show off to the legend. They look so crestfallen. But he's just voicing what he thinks, wouldn't it be insulting to wheedle or lie for their feelings? They're really not even talking about the same thing. They'll always proceed with whatever it is that gets them excited, and if their consciences ever start to bother them, they can always put them down by finding known benefits to use for whataboutism. In their world this is true for almost everybody, so encountering a based old guy who doesn't think that way and won't talk from their feelings is very disorienting.
