Thoughts on those curved cutouts that some work desks have?
>>103242937Seems stupid Why would you ever be that close to your desk?
>>103242937Fat
>>103242937>Thoughts on [completely mundane thing]Anon this might be difficult for you, but try to just formulate your own opinions on things for once. You don't always need to be TOLD what to think, you know. >>103243044I'm not fat and I like it. Gives elbows more room to rest.
>>103242937It holds things. Don't have any opinion on them nor see the point in ever needing 1. I have one since I just bought any old desk but 1 bad thing I can say is they are annoying when adding a mountable keyboard tray as they don't aline properly. Its the way some of them mount to a desk as a lot of them expect to be mounted on an even horizontal surface. The desk being curved just makes the mountable keyboard tray stick out. Not a big issue, just annoying to look at and pull out.
>>103242937you could make one with a jigsaw and a router in about 5 minutes
>>103242937I don't need it because I don't have a giant gunt and my monitors are on arms that can just move closer if I need that
>>103242937these are called american tables.to accomodate the average american. (fat) (you)
>>103242937>curved cutoutsTop reddit.
>>103242937>paying more for less
>>103242937Might as well buy a normal table and carve it specifically to your needs so it's actually useful
>>103243044>>103243020>>103245414I like cutouts because I like to wheel my chair under my desk and rest my arms, elbow up, on the table instead of on the chair's armrest
>>103245587>>>diy
>>103242937Bad. The angle of attack for your arm is the other way around, so the table should have a bulge instead.
>>103242937It looks intuitively correct but when I actually think about it, I don't see how it's beneficial.
>>103242937I got one, I regret it. The cutout is kind of retarded and too deep (12cm) but the angled slope is very nice to the forearms. If you pick one make sure the desk is deep enough (at least 80cm on the deepest part) and use a monitor arm to make up for the lost space.
