thunar vs. pcmanfm?
>>

Is it still maintained? I used only QT version and it was buggy so i'm on Thunar now. Thunar is fast and customizable, i have yet to encounter single bug.
>>
>>103243465
Thunar is still the better option.

Checked, though PCManFM-Qt is catching up at an admirable pace.
>>

I avoid GTK where possible, so it's PCManfm for me.

>>103243465
Do people really use these things? Why not just stay on Windows if that's what you want

Xfe is the only right choice. Everything else is either shit or bloated.

I've installed it and it doesn't respect my GTK theme nor my Qt theme. Piece of shit.

Thunar, I used to use PCmanFM, but it had a weird issue with not caching thumbnails for me so I switched back to Thunar which has an annoying lag issue with nvidia drivers but atleast it doesn't reload thumbnails every time I re-open a directory.
>>
>>103243465
I wish Thunar was as good as Windows's file explorer

Might not be your issue, but PCManFM will not make thumbnails for files over a certain size. You can change this in the settings, but I don't think you can turn off the behavior altogether.

mc

Nah it wasn't, it was generating thumbnails, but it wasn't caching them so every time you re-opened a directory it would regenerate all the thumbs again and there would be nothing in the .thumbnails directory, no idea why put thunar didn't have the same issue it would generate them and put them in the .thumbnails directory and not regen them again.
