My Logitech G102 finally died on me, bought on the 8th of October 2018. It served me well for many year-...SIKEIt is working just fine. Only the LEDs died yesterday. I thought it's dying altogether but nah, it's working great.>mud double clickNope. Despite being a habitual gamer, no double clicks. Everything works just fine. That was $25 well spent, one of the best mice for the buck.Do YOU have examples of things /g/ told you are shit, that turned out to be great?
>>103245705You got lucky, I guess. Mine started double clicking after 10 months, and I don't even play games.
>>103245705>Only the LEDs died yesterdayAnd that's a good thingStill using my original MX518 over here
huh so it is a widespread event.. mine started to doubleclick and i got it last year, i slammed it on it's side a few times to get rid of the bread crums and dust under the click button and it works fine now, cant really complain
>>103245705i just pulled out my G400s and started using it again. is there a modern wireless equivalent?
>>103245705Spilled the bear all over it recently, disassembled it, cleared the wheel and the socket with ethanol and everything work great again, I've been using this mouse for 4 years and everything still works amazing (also firmware is incredible too).
>>103246453No, and you needn't drive yourself mad looking for one. They literally do not make them like they used to.
>>103245705
>>103245705The double clicking is the humidity on the button is too high. You need to cool them with a fan or something.
>>103245705same mouse here. I got some issues with the scroll wheel but I fixed it with a spray of WD40
>>103245705I bought this mouse like 4 years ago and it started double clicking last week. I just took it apart and cleaned the buttons with some wd40 and it's as good as new now. Imagine being too much of a pussy to clean your mouse.
>>103245705Is it wrapped in rubber? I wanna buy this mouse but if it's rubberized I won't because it will get sticky after 3 months
>>103245705yeah, i have a mx518 that still works fine after 17 years. i have some two year old logi piece of crap that started spazzing out, probably on some built in timer. goes in the big box of dead hids; keyboards, mice, and joyless sticks. maybe someday i'll do some analysis of the failing components.
>>103245705I turned the led's off the day i got mine. I even forgot it has them.
>>103246453Yes. MX legendary wireless is the closest thing.
The LEDs didn't die, you got the windows update and drivers that incorporates LED control into windows settings. It's called Dynamic Lighting. Some users report the Dynamic Lighting interfering with G-Hub depending on your settings. I don't have these issues since I don't have G-Hub installed and use OMM.
I ordered mine from aliexpress and the cable sleeve was broken near the mouse, full refund and got a working mouse.
Mines wheel click quit working after 3 years, hoping G502 will last forever (3 yr old rn) its perfect (past the dogshit software and no goof replacement on linux)
Yeah the buttons end up double clicking pretty quick
