Has anyone bought one of these modular laptops? It's expensive but it seems like an interesting solution for those who want the experience and ability to tinker but want a portable solution.

I have a Framework 13 AMD and it's great. Perfect Linux laptop.

There's a lot of quality control issues with the different modules not fitting right.
The 13" is better quality but I'm still salty they didn't make the 13" mobo compatible with the 16" chassis.

Does *BSD run on it without incompatible hardware?

their software support is fucking garbage
expect months or even years for them to update firmware/drivers compared to other venders
sinkclose still isn't patched
