I'm considering getting a new monitor when Black Friday rolls around and these fangled new curved ones look interesting, but I've never had a chance to use one myself before. If anyone here has experience with them, can you redpill me on them, or blackpill me if they actually do suck. The main reason I'm considering it is because my current flat 16:9 monitor tends to strain my eyes after a while and I've heard some people say that getting a curved monitor solved it for them.
Depends on viewing distance and angle. I found them to be a decent gimmick yet the overall quality of a panel will be much more noticeable
>>103248224curved is for VA which has shit viewing angles but richer colors. You rarely see a curved IPS because they have superior viewing angles and refresh, but they tend to have leas vibrant colors and contrast. right now the best monitor your can buy is a Quest 3 with PCVR cable
should be curved the other way desu
I have 1000R curved 32" and I love it and would hate to go back to a flat monitor for anything wider than a 27". The curvature is the same as your FOV at 1m viewing distance and feels so fucking nice.
>>103248224yesa lot of games dont support it and it only gets 100% utilized when watching a movie but even then, 4k monitors still have a wider resolution than ultraqide
curved much better for a 34". Even a slight curve helps.
