> Demo photos look amazing
> People online saying it's opensource but I can't find any repo or info about self hosting it
> Demo site on huggingface has a super long queue and errors out even after waiting for 30 minutes
> "Currently available on the Doubao PC platform and the JiMeng web portal, users can generate an image and then select the "Continue Editing" option to make adjustments to the background or main subject using brief text instructions, bringing a new level of ease to image customization."
> Available on some chinese site that requires a Duoyin account
> Impossible to register because it requires a Chinese phone number which literally requires a chinese ID to get
> No information about an API developers can use

How the hell am I supposed to use this thing? I am building a product that would really benefit from this, and there aren't any other models that can do this right now. Wtf, China?

it's crazy how their whole tech ecosystem is blocked behind a state issued ID requirement. We don't even have that for voting in the USA

I'm actually cool with it. Just give me access to the API to use the models man

The images still look like the same slop you could gen 1.5 days with intruct2pix. You newfags are so clueless about this tech, this is not groundbreaking in any way, and in typical Chinese fashion they claim complete credit for the old tech.

>>103253031
Btw if anything is just automasking and based off a slightly better model (like Flux)

No it's not like flux. If you read the actual paper (you didn't because you're dunning kruger retard), they came up with a novel approach called "casual self attention", and it's a significant departure from the way the other models work.

With flux, you can't get specific edits, it changes the whole scene and uses the fine-tuned model it was trained on to incorporate it back into the scene but you have no control.

It's not an "editing" model, and isn't made for that purpose. SeedEdit is. It can make photoshop level edits to someone's face for example, like "make her nose smaller" – try that with a fine-tuned flux and you'll see it just straight up doesn't work.

You could have at least scanned the research paper for 5 seconds before typing this retarded take. It shows comparisons with instruct2pix and many other models, and it's clear SeedEdit a significant improvement.

Another braindead take. It's not about being "more HD". It's about making precise edits while keeping everything else the same. This involves an understanding of what is going on in the image and what the desired change *means* in the context of transforming the image.
