What are your favorite Powertoys, /g/? Most of them seem very niche.
Awake was great on my work computer and then it stopped working at some point. Other than that, Powertoys Run is a close second.
>>103250392Is that a recent Windows? Are they trying to copy gnome now?
>>103250392I installed it because of Always On Top. Very handy.
>>103250423the GNOME devs work for Microsoft, this is known
>>103250392Toys are homosexual. All I care about is pirate media being downloaded while I sleep and uploaded for my viewing pleasure.
>>103250459Literally a GNOME feature for over 20 years and Windows needs some retarded addon for that?https://help.gnome.org/misc/release-notes/2.2/
>>103250586I don't care about GNOME ebussy. Kindly fuck off.
>>103250586>linux users when they haven't mentioned linux in 5 seconds
>just install a 300GB shitware that will shit up everywhere in your system and leave files all over
I use powertoys run and the cursor crosshair at work
>>103250392the screenshot OCR to text is nice but I'm not going to install all that bloatware for that
>>103250882MacOS comes with that.
>>103250857>yes officer i love spreading misinformation
>>103251076Oh really? It was misinformation? I thought it was literally 300 GB of spyware. Thanks for rectifying this. +5 microsoft points, Pajeet.
Powertoys is bloated .NET garbage, it consumes so much memory and the GUI is so sluggish it even makes Java look good.
>>103251076He is right. How is it misinformation you faggot?
>>103251129Where is the 300GB
>>103251159Are you autistic or something?
>>103250392color picker, text reader, and the various file utilities
>>103251179The irony.
>>103250857>>103251129How poor are you that less than 300 MEGABYTES of installer download for a variety of applications is too much used storage?
>>103251271I got 2x 2TB 980 Pros. Just because I have lots of space, doesn't give you the right to be wasteful with space and RAM. If Microsoft wrote that application in a native language it would tabe a few MBs, wouldn't waste so much RAM and wouldn't be so sluggish. Fuck Microsoft.
>>103251318You are "wasting" ram right now with this thread.
FancyZones is the only must-have, and it's baffling that it isn't part of core Windows.
>>103251318You having a dick is a waste
Workspaces is incredibly useful to me personally
It got bloated at some point and decided that wasn't worth ti
>>103251318SO you're just trolling. Noted.
>>103250392fancyzones for my ultrawide. it's just slightly better snap so why it isn't just included by default, I don't know.
>>103250586Windows has had support for it since the beginning, it's just never had a GUI way to enable it.Same with virtual desktops.
>>103251819No I'm not trolling. A simple utility like PowerToys shouldn't size over 200MB. It's just bloat.
>>103252221*Actually that's just the intstaller. The actual installation sizes over 600mb: Jesus Christ.
>>103251271>300 MEGABYTES of installerIf the installer is 300 MB, how fucking big are the installed programs?
>>103251921So you need 600MB for a gui way to enable something THAT IS ALREADY THERE ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME
>>103252313
>>103250392I use the one that lets me remap caps lock to control and vice versa.
powerrename is great for fast regex batch file rename and the color picker with color labels turned on is a life saver for a deficient colorblind nigger such as myself
>>103252399Literal humiliation
>>103250392Troonix Seethe, that's the best one looking at this thread
>>103252399Ach mein Gott!
>>103251482it is on W11. Not as robust as powertoys though.
I only use fancy zones because it squares the corners on windows and its a little more configurable than the W11 snap which doesnt, or didnt last i used it. I tried to use Run and liked things about it, but its hard to break the habit of how i've used a PC for 20+ years also colour picker and power renamer have come in handy a few times. None of them are really all that necessary but they're nice to have.
>>103253177Oh also i used mouse without borders a lot when my 2nd pc was on windows but now im running linux on it and of course i have no end of troubles with trying to get mouse/keyboard sharing to work. The new version of synergy doesnt run on wayland and naturally i get god awful screen tearing using X11 and the old one won't run without a fuck around so I will probably just go back to using windows on it because as per usual linux is a gigantic pain in the balls and is only for mouth breathing spastics.
>>103250392one of the new techs on our team told me about this so I gave it a trynothing really useful here for everyday use>>103250459what program/window do you use it on?
I only use these ones
