Let's say I buy one with decent ram but shitty storage. How can I find someone to upgrade the storage?
>>

I assumed this shit was soldered in, but it's actually a proprietary connector lmao

applefags will defend this

Just buy external m2 disk, those usb ports are pretty fast.

They're probably just about to run off a Chinese production line somewhere, but something like this for the smaller form factor will probably show up in the next month or 2
>>

are we supposed to be mad that it's not soldered in..?

third party opportunity
>>
>>103252500
you buy higher storage in the configuration options
>>
>>103253103
wouldn’t the latency of that be super high unless you get the thunderbolt 5 configuration
>>

External storage. It's a computer that basically requires a NAS to use, or at least a horrible octopus of usb drives and hubs, but is still marketed as being "small" and "cost effective"
>>
>>103253312
sure it'd be measurable and not ideal if mission critical but probably not all that noticeable in most tasks retards are using mac minis for.

but this guy was able to swap the nand and upbrade to 2tb storage https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJPXLE9uPr8

i know it's not a super easy mod, but surely you can find someone to do it locally

Ask your dad how to plug an external ssd into one of the usb ports.
>>
>>103253508
i would pass, i just want plug ‘n go
>>
Just plug in and external SSD. Just got this and with a transfer speed of 1gb/s it runs all of my games just fine. The only bottleneck is the lackluster GPU which if you get the normie M4 is the equivalent of a 2060 or 3050/4050. So anything beyond 1080p will be a struggle.

no. apple will sue anyone who grabs this opportunity. iFags will defend this.
>>
IDK why you dumbfucks are obsessed with voiding your warranty. Just buy a fucking external SSD.
>>
Apple Macs are not for poorfags

in theory you need to, or need to find someone with, access to the self service repair store - https://support.apple.com/self-service-repair .
parts for this don't appear to be listed at https://selfservicerepair.com/en-US/home .
you can look at the repair manual at https://support.apple.com/en-us/121508 . a second mac is necessary if a ssd is replaced.
