It's the first phone since discovering the Xperia 1 II that I have had an interest in. Don't know about regular X8 footage, but the X8 Pro has put out great photos and iPhone level video. The Hasselblad collab has always seemed more appealing than Zeiss collabs and I would like to try out their exclusive filters. Lens switching during video maintains the colors and the swap is less intrusive than even on the iPhone. All of this is a very thin phone body, and the shutter touch strip that doesn't require pressing into a button seems practical.

Daily reminder that if you micro manage your battery health you will end up with dogshit battery life. Your phone will show the wrong battery percentage if you don't charge it fully and leave it charging for like an hour after it reaches 100% once in a while since the OS has no fucking clue what your real battery level is at.

My oneplus 8t has to go, it's battery is starting to die very quickly and the back glass is broken.
I'm looking at the oneplus 12 right now for $500
I heard that the 8 gen 3 isn't the best though and the 8 elite is much better.
My other options right now are the pixel 9 pro/xl for $1k, s24 ultra for $1300.
Camera is pretty important to me but the samsung has the same chip as the one plus at over twice the price. On the other hand I assume the oneplus 12 is so cheap because the 13 just came out.
Do I wait a bit longer to get an 8 elite or what would you guys do?
