If a user focuses so much on minimalism won't CLI usage for almost everything make their computing experience difficult? Thus making them counter productive.

You learn how to use it. What's so hard to understand?

exact opposite
>winbind+enter > terminal emulator
>type command or start typing command, use up arrow to find history and autocomplete
>windbind+d > type command/program to launch
I don't even have to move my hand to the mouse, what is simpler than that?

Depends. If you've adjusted your muscle memory to a CLI workflow then you can be very productive. Similarly I've adjusted my muscle memory to Total Commander, a GUI program, but I'm more efficient in it than I would be in CLI or any other GUI program. I also rely on a keyboard launcher for a myriad of things and never really touch the start menu. It's because keyboard oriented interfaces will always be faster, your muscle memory will adjust to them and it'll be a subconscious action. With the mouse, you add the hand travel time and you have to focus on your movements.

The real issue with minimalism is how much extra software do you rely on for your workflow, how much work does it take to set it up and how well could you replicate it in a more restricted environment, for example a work computer, to have the same level of productivity. Or easily replicating all of your configurations on other machines that you own so your workflow is seamless. Or how hard would it be for you to rebuild it after a format.

You will always be more productive with 3rd party software that suits your needs, but that inherently implies higher complexity. A more complex set of tools can make you more efficient if you know how to use them. If you go for excessive minimalism you're likely to hinder your productivity.

Luke Smith is the embodiment of the Dunning Krueger effect. He's a Language arts PHD dropout that decided to just copy the most successful Linux YouTuber at the time (Mental Outlaw) but Luke's technical competence is so low he makes several mistakes whenever he rips off one of Kenny's videos. When people called him out on this Luke started grasping for ways to stand out from being another Mental Outlaw clone.

1st Luke started shilling credit cards, he even disabled all crypto payments on his POD bookstore because Kenny hates the debt based financial system.

2nd Luke took an anti-gaming stance because Kenny occasionally plays vidya with his gf.

3rd Luke took an anti phone and anti gun position because Kenny carries both as part of his EDC

4th, Luke stopped making his videos in the woods because Kenny took over his family farm and made a couple videos about it. Luke just can't stand living in Kenny's shadow.

5th, Luke became anti restaurant because Kenny works with local restaurants to get organic food scraps for his animals and sells the meat and eggs back to the restaurant

And the most hilarious LARP of all is Luke pretending to be a Christian so he could enhance his E-begging and associate himself with Terry Davis despite desktop ricing being his greatness programming accomplishment.

found three threads up (there's more).

each is about grifters named luke (the OP), mental outlaw and lunduke.

it's been proven that mental outlaw is a fed.

what about lunduke and luke?

why do these two get to spam their monetized grift blogs that pays them $$$ for each click from suckers here?

are they feds?

do they pay mods?

do mods think this board hasn't turned into /pol/ yet?

It's an investment. Only at first is it more difficult.

Why did you bother writing your post? I'm sure you could unplug your keyboard and convey your meaning just by doodling something, fucking retard, since it's better than just typing.

1. Kenny, being a based An Cap knows fiat currency has no future

2. Gaming is a waste time of imo too, but I'm not anti gaming, I use to spend a lot of time playing old n64 games but these modern games are consumerist dopamine toys. Luke has a point here. I like how old games leave graphics to the players imagination.

3. I was very pro gun until school shootings made me reconsider. I changed my opinions based on disturbing facts and something called empathy.

4. The real reason Luike stopped playing in the woods because the special needs daycare he was at prohibited him from going in dangerous places, he through a tantrum about it. For those who don't know Luke is an adult with severe ASD that lives at a special needs residence.

5. We have a special needs program were the tards (including myself) get to work for sub minimum wage at the restaurant. The special needs adults go to the restaurant and try to work. Luke failed miserably at this job so he had to be pulled. What happened was Luke and I were co-working a shift together and I was doing the dishes but Kenny pulled in the drive though and asked for organic food scraps and Luke put them all over his face to look like a monster and tried to scare Kenny, it failed. Kenny was like wtf this retard got grub all over my shirt, I should give this white boi a pounding.

6. As a non christian I respect Christian lifestyles but don't believe their hocus pocus about a 6000 year old earth, global flood, and virgin birth. Both Kenny and Luke claim to be christian but only Terry managed to come into contact with the divine.

You're a retard who would've been fed to the sharks if the US was defeated

Feds (like Luke) never name the Jew, the fact that Kenny did means he's truly based and not a fed (like Luke)

it doesnt make sense to force yourself to use minimalist software just for the sake of minimalism, what should happen is you get so used to something that you naturally start using software that just does exactly what you want. like for example moving from a gui video encoder to ffmpeg once you're experienced enough to just write what you want directly

Why is luke wearing that bandana
