I can download another skin to layer over One UI, I can use Good Lock to modify and clean it up as much as I can, and I can also remove all the bloatware apps through ADB, but none of these can ever fix the inherent lack of optimisation that One UI has. It's how One UI itself is coded that's the issue. While iOS also has tons of bloatware, iOS itself isn't optimised as horribly as One UI is. iOS with all its bloatware runs much more smoothly than One UI with all the bloatware apps removed and the skin modified through stuff like Good Lock.

The only way to fix this lack of optimisation is to trip Knox and flash a custom ROM or GSI, and at that point I might as well get something like a Sony Xperia instead. bros, buying a new phone, the one I currently have (xiaomi 11 lite) has started to annoy me, from lack of e-SIM, meh camera, MIUI being annoying and battery getting quite shit. I do like the microSD card slot.
Plus, I'm the type to carry around a DAC with me, and when that runs out of battery it's annoying to use a dongle due to no aux, if I remembered to bring it with me.
So, it seems xperia phones to have all that I want, but have no idea which one I should get, 10 VI, 5V or 1 VI? I do have the money for any, but usually never buy flagships, since don't use their features that much, nor do I like having a pricey thing around with me. So, what are the downsides of each option? Or, just judging by the last couple posts, are there any other brands which do sony's shtick without being sony (and no xiaomi, done with that brand for now)?

its just that i think my phpne is still good but ive dropped it a bit too many times and so the screen is showing some streaks, and the battery life is worse now that its been 4 years and ive drained it inadvertently a few times
