In the end, I decided that light blue is actually fine for the balloon since it both adds to the 'DIY' impression of the story and gives more noticeable lighting effects, like the glow on the carpet here. I also changed the pose and think I like this better. I want to try to figure out how to make him give a hug that actually squashes the balloon a little, but him holding it gently is cute in its own way, too.
That'll be for another day, though. Hope at least some of you enjoyed my gens, and sorry I didn't comment on the spectacular stuff I've seen, especially the video work - I'll try to engage more next time. Night!

In ComfyUI, is there a way to repeat an img2img process multiple times, like in Auto1111, where you can use the loopback custom script in the img2img tab to run the process several times? I want to experiment with running an img2img picture through the process a few times with low denoise settings to refine details, especially the hands.
Like in the picture, first I generate with a model good at hands, then fix the hands using detailer inpainting, then pass the picture through img2img with the model I actually wanted to use (and at this point the hands are fucking ruined), and then a last pass with face detailer.

The third pass I would like to turn into three our four passes at very low denoise so the changes are more slow, and the hands arent ruined.

This is waiNSFIllustrious and it's excellent but except maybe for the artist styles.

But whenever I try NoobAI or even vanilla Illustrious it looks like vomit or just random. And I have read the documentation and my settings and tags are correct.
I don't understand what is going on because everyone is saying these are so great. I rarely get clean images with these models.

boomer prompting works really well with the t5 encoder (flux/sd3)

I love the way his face is lit up by the glow here, even though it makes no sense because the balloon's not getting anywhere near enough sunlight. Shame about the missing toe, and Sonic's armleg on the TV.
>>103568742
I still use "masterpiece, HDR, trending on artstation" at the start of my prompts on Flux. I then transition into boomer prompting because these new models actually understand natural language.

Cya!
>>103568912
What artstyle are you trying to do? I have "anime" as the first of a bunch of tags and that works 99% of the time for my gens. If you're trying to do some kind of painting, try that and then reiterate what kind of painting it is at the start of your boomer prompting, like "a watercolor painting of <scene>".

fp8 is not quantized and will struggle to fit into 12gb when you add the t5 encoder to the equation. use a quantized model instead

https://huggingface.co/city96/FLUX.1-dev-gguf

personally, I use Q8_0 on my 4070-12gb w/ full encoders. Q5_K_S is an option too, but idk exactly how the quality differs

>>103568912
>>103569053
Here's two quick gens. I used the following prompt, but for the one on the right, replace "oil" with "watercolor".
>oil painting, masterpiece, trending on artstation, vintage, a 1600s oil painting of an alpine German landscape in autumn. Swirling falling leaves are blown by the wind, and a quaint German village with a windmill is visible in the distance with a dirt road leading to it. Snow-capped mountains dot the horizon.

Adorable! What kind of animal is she meant to be?
>>103569275
Yes, Forge can load models that exceed your VRAM as long as you have enough normal RAM to spare. I use the fp8 model on a card with only 6GB of VRAM.
Quantizing is magic that squashes a model's file size down, but affects the final image a bit. The T5 encoder is a thing that understands language, and is used for understanding boomer prompts and including legible text in the image.

usually whatever the biggest one you can fit into your card. thats why the quantized models are nice because they repackage larger models into small sizes. Q8_0 is pretty comparable to fp16 despite being drastically smaller

I used flux dev to make a line art, then fed this into a controlnet for ponyxl. I'm still building the work flow but it seems like it can work. I'm trying to do a few more exotic things Pony can't quite pull off.
