fellow proompters i live in a glorious country with a fuckton or tariffs on imports so MSRP is a joke, I only play old vydia so other than a few games a year I don't care about performance anymore,4060 ti or 4070 ti super both with 16gb do I get any proompting benefits from the 4070 over 4060 if they both have the same vram?
https://genesis-embodied-ai.github.io/So what's the verdict? Anyone tried?
>>1035729274070 ti super was on par or little bit faster than 3090 with sdxl. Some japanese site that tested pretty much every gpu
>>103572927used 3090 is still the way to go. Prices are only going to go up on used stuff when nobody can afford the 5000s. If you are stuck between those two I'll point out that the 4060TI has 4352 CUDA cores and the 4070 TI has 7680. Not sure what the price diff is for you, but it would need to be big before I didn't go with the 4070 TI.

Tariffs are a hell of a bitch, $250 of diff between the 2,I don't plan on getting rid of the 3060 I bought it in a rush after my 780 died last year and so far the 3060 has worked for most of my 1920x1080 proompts but I'm considering my options since I'm probably gonna get a proper AM5 build next year
>>103572937A lot of the generative tools, humanoid skinning and animation tools aren't really available yet so I'm just waiting. Maybe cut a gummy overwatch character in half or something.
is it feasible to run flux on 12gb vram? what'd be the best approach to that, which quants/ui (not comfy preferably) etc
>>103573049not worth it then. If you have two cards like that you can be saving a ton of time by multitasking. Using a separate card for upscaling (something not i2i based like chaiNNer), IOPaint and allowing your computer to run until you are ready to upgrade. >>103573554It's pretty strange since almost none of the young people I talk to have any idea about AI models, it still seems like a niche thing. I would assume it has the potential to ruin some courses in universities, but that's why you use old pen and paper approach to exams and essays. Creative people have an inner drive to do things, AI won't take it away, it will speed things up if anything.
>>103573617>who hasn't heard of a typewritergen alpha. Welcome to the boomer squad>>103573638It has already destroyed a ton of young people in uni. There already has been some false positives causing expulsion. Some confusion on if a grammerly counts as AI and then purists wanting to ban MS Word for their AI integration. Pen and paper are fine, it won't filter the cheaters. I find it weird how people think this hasn't happened with normal cheating. AI is just faster cheating and possibly cheaper because you aren't paying other people as much to write your stuff.
When I was in school they said you need to know trig because you won't always have a calculator with youI dunno what kind of roles they had in mind where the mathematician was only given an abacus, papyrus paper and charcoal. Doomsday maybe, but that's a bleak outlook on a childs future

This concerns art as much as it does other aspects of our life, given that a significant chunk of the entire history of art is founded on blatantly "stealing" (god, what a meaningless term) from ancient Greeks. Neural networks are no different in that regard.
>>103574151Yeah, group projects are a great example of it.. I did many group projects practically as pair work because the other group members either didn’t understand the topic or didn’t want to. Even modern militaries have their cybersecurity branches, which try to use all and any info found online for actually usable intel, and similarly try to obscure anything that could be a security breach.

>>103574557>all security camera footage will be thrown out of court because it _could_ be AI generated>muh trump facile retard exampleThere is no "department of admissible evidence" in court. Whatever the prosecution submits as evidence against you, it will come down to your lawyer's competence and the judge's inclinations as to whether it will be accepted or dismissed. Famous people can afford better lawyers and their cases get media attention. If the FBI plants a camera on some random nobody with AI-generated "evidence" after some psyop terrorist attack, only internet schizos and civil rights groups would even bat an eye. Or, in your make-believe mongoloid world, all photo, video, audio, and digital text evidence will be inadmissible, making every unmanned security camera instantly obsolete (not to mention excluding all pictures on people's phones, all digital chat logs, voice calls, et cetera, et cetera from being treated as evidence). You are a staggering imbecile.>>103574676All tech these days is monopolized by glowies for years before hitting the civilian market, so I'm sure the heyday of genned evidence fabrication is past its prime, but it's still going to be a thing. Also, the way chain of custody stuff works is that you pay your lawyer to hire an "expert" to directly contradict the prosecutor's expert, so all it really means is more expert witnesses arguing about whether and how something can be AI-generated instead of (or rather on top of) the usual computer forensics/metadata forging debates. All it would add is another issue in court where you argue it in your defense if you can afford to, otherwise you steer clear of it. You don't just stand up in court and say "that was AI genned" and magically all that evidence is thrown out, nor will it be dismissed out of hand unless _all_ digital evidence becomes by law inadmissible.

Well shit, so it does, I may have exited a period of being a tard. Thanks.
>>103575522n defense of anon, I don't like that message because it's misleading.Yes, civilizations have a sinusoid tendency in terms of wellbeing, as almost everything does, beacause the pendulum of thiving and struggling is unavoidable.Your pic is retarded just like anon not because it implies the above, but because it implies one period or the other leading to a particular type of upbringing, wheras there's many other more influential factors that dictate the kind of culture people are raised by, and it's not that simple. It's a cute theory, but to to disprove the image's point, let's take vicious cycles of pathology within families as an example. Alcoholics don't raise abstinents, more likely the children end up at risk of alcoholism themself, if not other mental issues steming from it. I can hardly see how trauma of something like war and famine can lead to "stronger" individuals. The first world war in particular taught us it brings nothing but shell-shock-esque consequences of broken men, widowed wives and land plagued with yet to explode leftovers that haunt generatios to come. Similarly the the second world war can be argued to be a consequence of the first war, which didn't create "stronger" or "wiser" men, and neither did the second one lead to modern prosperity, as all countries now struggle with consequences of spectres swiped under the rug.
>>103575621Holy shit you need to get off 4chan before you commit suicide. There are many examples of children who abstain from alcohol because their parents are alcoholics especially in cases of trauma. Not going to discuss because you're the resident schizo who needs to get a life.

Has anybody been able to get SageAttention2 installed and working in ComfyUI on linux? I'm not retarded (I think). Conda env, pytorch 2.5.1, CUDA 12.4, cuda runtime dev and cuda toolkit installed via conda so I have the libs and headers and can compile stuff. "pip install -e ." in the sage attention repo just werks. But then I get "Aborted (core dumped)" error in ComfyUI as soon as the model starts running with sage attention enabled. I assume some low-level shit with the sage attention cuda extension is fucked up, but I don't know what.
>>103575657Good for you, not everyone is so lucky. As said, if it doesn't manifest in mirroring of alcoholism, it certainly takes it's toll in different manners. You probably know that better than I can image. I brought it as an example to point out how stupid it is to assume these kinds of experiances, or any other bad or traumatic ones "make people better" so randoms on the interwebs can post that stupid image and feel smart.
>>103575744>traumatic ones "make people better"they don't make them "better", but they make them more aware about mortality and the sillyness of war, and the more the time passes during a peace period, the less of those old soldiers remains, and nowdays we're only people who have never experienced war, and we'll never be as weary as war as people who did do war, so we're more likely to go for it than the old traumatized people
>>103575744Your assertion is baseless because if there weren't a cycle and instead it's all entropy society would've collapsed. Growth, decline, and recovery is a historical rhyme that goes back millennia. The only person who is as retarded as you is Debo, it's amazing how obvious you are in your argumentation. I don't believe it has anything to do with people forgetting or remembering past conflicts. Were that the case, humandkind would've been peaceful long ago, since previous generatios had a lot more conflict, so this kind of mortality-awareness would've been accelerated.
