Here are the working optimization I know of to get faster inferences in wan2.2 without touching the resolution (fp8 scaled/720p/81frames/i2v/40 steps)
- sage attention 2++ and triton : a given, they work well and the degradation is minimal.
- lightv2x : it's very fast since it makes it easy to go lower steps but destroys motion, and lacks details while randomly making video slowmo. I don't use it anymore.
- easycache : 0.2 for high noise and 0.1 for low noise give a huge boost and I don't see a big degradation.
- playing with cfg : >1 for high noise and =1 in low noise to have twice the speed there.

most gens with v50 have latex skin.
v48 gives great results with some luck.
v34 always generates realism. the latex/cartoonish gens are very rare with this version.

Long time ComfyUI enthusiast here, been working extensively with IllustriousXL and really enjoy the node based workflow that makes ComfyUI perfect for my needs.

Recently noticed discussions about InvokeAI's superior inpainting capabilities. Since inpainting has been my main frustration with Comfy, I decided to test it out.

While InvokeAI ran slower, the quality improvement was obvious. I kept parameters identical across both platforms for accurate comparison.

After processing several of my best ComfyUI generations through InvokeAI with matched settings, I'm puzzled, InvokeAI consistently produces sharper results with better composition and minimal touch-ups needed.

What's going on here? Does InvokeAI have some hidden optimization or prompt engineering happening behind the scenes? Would appreciate if others could verify this difference.

Image quality is about your model (Flux, Chroma, SDXL finetunes), not the UI. Invoke is great for heavy inpainting. Its tools are just built to make it easy. Comfy can do the same thing, but you'll have to wrestle with complex workflows and custom nodes to get there.

source? 48-detailed,49,50,50-annealed are are slopped and regular 48 is the last best from those versions, and so v48 was used as Chroma1-Base, and that was trained again further to Chroma1-HD, which in my experience is noticably better than all other vesions

I'm not sure, but I think Invoke has some additional tweaks under the hood. It's specialized software for this kind of thing and my favorite software to use for image creation and editing. Bonus part is that it also supports tablets with pen pressure sensitivity so it makes it a lot easier. I stick to Invoke for image workflows while using Comfy just for videos 90% of the time.

That was the idea since the beginning (getting a lora merge that would essentially turn the model into a local dalle3), but lodestone kept putting out new epochs (bad ones btw) so I essentially stopped training and getting excited about it. Maybe I could retrain them for Radiance once the final weights are out, but I am waiting for a "Radiance HD" that isn't blurry shit at the default 1024x1024 res
