>>
>>106449965

>>
>>106450170
i have an excel spread sheet too but i'm not skiled enough with it to make it fancy like, how do you make an automatic rejection counter with it? i only write down Rejected - date 21th august and i have to manually count if someone ask me lol
>>
>>106450533
Just type in
=COUNTIF(A1:A10, "Rejected")

for a cell's formula, replacing A with whatever column it is in, 1 for whatever your starting row is and 10 with whatever your ending row is. If you add a shit ton of rows, you can click the cell with the formula, then drag down to get the new rows.

i've experienced a lot of shitty jank in hiring whilst looking for jobs but tbqh the one i have now required basically nothing in the way of "humiliation rituals" and, unsurprisingly, the office culture is quite good and my team is responsive and polite to my dumbass questions now that I'm in. the only bad part of the hiring process is it took a really long time but even then when i told them "yeah this took forever and I'm doubtful I'll get it; i'm not burning bridges for you" they outright said "okay. we'll rejigger the shifts a little if you truly insist on having two jobs"

and the hiring/interview processes that were nothing but a parade of humiliation rituals are the ones where, unsurprisingly, i didnt get the job and it's questionable that one even ever existed

>>
>>106457197
that's when they're not really interested in hiring anyone, either soon or at all

either they're using that job post as a CV pit to build a database of potential candidates

or to present themselves to the authorities as an "active recruiter contributing to the job market" to get tax exemptions

and if the job poster is not the company itself but a middleman, your data might be sold for profit

nice era we live in to apply for jobs
>>

This one pisses me off more than anything else. So, you've sent out hundreds of applications, and you can't find shit. Your career is on hold and if this goes on long enough your resume will be permanently fucked.

Genuinely, why have you not yet considered the US military? You do realize they have both coding and blue/red team hacking roles, right? It's consistently 9-5 and comes with countless lifelong benefits. You only have to do 1 4 year contract and you're in the clear. If you're in the Air Force/Space Force, the dorms, food and amenities are genuinely great.

You can get a top security clearance and not have to compete with H1Bs ever again in your life. You do realize how easy TS clearance interviews are right? If you can do Fizzbuzz, you're in.

Genuinely, why have you not yet bit the bullet? In 6 months, this path will be much harder as all the unemployed CS graduates who are citizens wise up to it.

This thread makes me beyond grateful I went into my family business with zero higher education. I pay myself next to nothing and collect maximum welfare because I'm married with 3 kids. I'll be 32 next month. I got a paid house and two paid cars. The happy grandparents are watching the kids for me and my wife while we go to Japan for two weeks for our anniversary.

All the extended family sucks our dicks and pay our for our kids private school too because we we're the only ones to actually reproduce. My brother? Furry fag. Her two sisters? A fat militant libtard dyke and a dumb ass fujoshi. Cousins? Autistic, impotent, horse girl, junkie, suicidal alcoholic etc.

its actually a normal human interaction type of thing. Were you clarifying the position, requirements etc etc while the discussion was going? Yes? Well, you dont have to ask any questions. Were you mostly silent? Yes, now is the time to ask your "questions" aka showing any interest in the position. You are just silent during the HR meeting, this means that you are just not interested. Irrelevant questions are also stupid, ask about the position.
>>
>>106466403
you don't get it. it's an actual meta among interviewers to ask this regardless of how curious you were during the interview. you are definitely not getting hired if you say you don't have anything

>>
>>106466862
I think bug bounty is too hard. It takes forever to look at all the codes and find a working security issue. Whereas, math is laid in stone and solving the problem can take as long as you want without your tool chain abruptly changing, or the software vector you're investigating instantly deprecates with a new mitigation technique.

>somehow i think that would have made major news if true
It probably should. There could be a couple reasons as to why no one's running the story for how big of a deal it is, but they could all be valid.
The James Webb telescope looked at the Cosmic Radiation Background (Edge of the observable universe) and found the remanent of fully formed stellar bodies that would be way too old for the model to explain.
The running theory now is that the universe is alot bigger and that we are in a black hole.

Seriously, I know what I sound like, but for real do some digging. There are really good videos on it. It's not hard to find.

>>106469137
Not even technically speaking, people *can* become officers with just a bachelors. Prior military experience isn't even taken into consideration, they mostly look at your degree (doctor, dentist, nuclear, ect.). You have to take a separate test, and do a full panel interview; with 2 officer's letters as recommendation or a letter from the governor. It's not easy to become an officer.

if you anons think getting rejected for a regular job is disheartening, try walking in off the street to become an officer lmao

The CCNP is also important. if you are into NETWORKING. If you are looking at any discipline outside of networking, look at other shit.

Basic help desk experience will get you into an entry level NOC position, and a CCNA is overkill. You would essentially checking if data centers or campus networks are up or down, and being tier 1 support if network availability is gone.

I got an internship from a department of the US federal government just in time to graduate with a federal hiring freeze in place that prevents them from hiring me.

I don't have experience with Codility, but generally speaking, technical interview questions have absolutely zero overlap with any real programming problem you may have seen. They'll also depend a lot on parts of programming languages that you would normally have no use for. You should practice a little with leetcode before you have to take the test, if you have time.

If I complete a video game, sell it on steam, and make at least a few sales, then list it on my resume as professional experience, will the HR roasties accept it?

I'm telling you man. Everyone here is shooting for the FAANG positions, and aren't considering stability at all in their careers. They just want to win the job lottery, but the market just isn't there anymore obviously. Let them remain jobless.
