Reminder : RDNA4 will be made useless by this Nvidia exclusive feature
>>106609896>2 more weeks
>>1066098372k(cad) build??? >video editing>gayme (moba,mmo)
>>106609896Fake resolution, fake frames, fake benchmark. Now fake VRAM.
I can't believe Corsair is getting sued because of Ryzens IMC gacha.
>>106605689How far away do you sit? I sit about 5-6 feet away and I was wanting to get a tv. Not sure which size would be best though, thinking somewhere between 42 and 55 inches.
>>106609903in 2 weeks will we get a good AMD GPU? I'm poor so I have to wait!
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kkkZMCin the US, grabbing most of this at microcenter. Budget is 2500ish. Already had the gigabyte, ordered the AOC. Was gonna do video editing and 1440p gaming, maybe some streaming. Is this budget fairly efficient or can I push it any where? Also concerned about using stock fans. I already run a giant fan in my room constantly, so I don't think quiet fans are going to matter. Should I stick with the stock fans on the fractal, and add a couple for exhausts, and if so what brand? Thoughts?
are the supers for the 5000 series coming out this year or next year should i wait for them?
>>106610477Your system uses 576W MAX. Do you really really need a 1000W PSU?
>>1066104895000 series was never officially confirmed, but the same people that "leaked" them have now claimed they're delayed to next year. My head canon is that there isn't going to be a super series this generation but I made this up in my head based off of nothing because im retardedHow badly do you need an upgrade would be the question. Super cards were rumored to have no performance uplift, only moar vramIf you're on any turing card or ampere/ada below a 3070ti or equivelent I would just go ahead and get a 5070 or 5070ti (or 5090 if you can afford it) while prices are at/below msrp.5080 makes literally 0 sense and 5060ti is in most places close enough to a 5070 in price that you might as well make the jump unless you know for sure you need the vram (not video games)
>>106610087what>>106610489next year January No point waiting since they won't be that much faster and 16gb vram on the 70ti is enough for gaming
>>106609837This OP sucks, revert to the old one please
Is it normal that my M.2 drive is not perfectly parallel to my motherboard ? The standoff screw is slightly higher than the M.2 slot, so the drive sits at a slight decline once it is screwed in.
>>106610575You're right, don't know how the estimate works, does it account for spikes or full load? I saw a discount for the seasonic so I jumped for it, do batteries last longer if they work below their max wattage? Like is say 576W the same on a 600W and a 1000W?
Shall I just get a 2k OLED? I wanted a 4k one initially, but I only have a 5070 ti, and I mainly care about great looks WITH great performance. And no, I'm not getting the 5090 (any time soon).
>>106610477I would strongly recommend you find $50 and buy a 5070ti, there's literally 0 reason to buy amd this gen. Also that psu is fucking retarded unless you plan on buying a 6090 a little over a year from now or something.
>>106610599As long as it's working, I wouldn't worry about that at all
>>106609837>Budget (inc. gaming): 7500F, 9600X>Gaming: 9800X3D, 9700X>Workstation: 9950X, 9900X>Premium: 9950X3D>Budget: Used GPU between $100-$250>Midrange: RX 9060 XT 16GB>High-end 1440p & Midrange 4K: RX 9070 XT>Workstation: Used RTX 4090 or RTX 3090 tiyou fucking faggot. You know what you did
>>106610477Stick with the PSU to generate seethe
>>106610599is your dick perfectly perpendicular to the horizon? if no, forgive some minor differences in creations by those other than god.
>>106610618Microcenter has an in store deal on the 9070 for 599 msrp. Is it still worth the jump if it's $150? If I went up a tier entirely it would be substantially more expensive too, right? Like a 5080 is more expensive than it's worth.
>>106610647There's nothing better than 600 for the 9070xt so get that imo
9070 or 9070xt? Because $600 is just the real msrp of a 9070
>>106610647>>106610660
>>106610591https://www.guru3d.com/story/corsair-ram-lawsuit-why-overclocking-speeds-led-to-a-settlement/
>>106610603You can never have too powerful power supply unit. Anons just have a weird fetish suggesting lower wattage ones because "you don't need it"
>>106610660xt is just 10-15 fps faster
>>106610670The XT. Was referring to the partspicker list shorthand. 600 for a 9070 XT.
>>106610688That's alot
>>106610628u mad noob? why geforce 70 and 60 series so dogshit in borderlands 4?
>>106610688Supposed to use % not a random number you niggerRegardless either card at it's REAL msrp being worth a buy isn't a discussion unless you're a hard team red member. They're a worse value than the 5070 and 5070ti before any look at the featureset and rt. >>106610696At $600 a 9070xt is good. "Pathtracing" whatever that means is the only thing now and in the future that won't be viable on the card.Framegen too I guess if you have a super high refresh rate monitor
>>106610720what did nvidia do to the 50 series? i think it's the same in doom tda where 4080s is better than the 5070ti/5080
>>106610720you shut fuck up bitch
>>106610739yeah i dont have a pref but it's the best value i've found right now. Otherwise the PSU could come in handy if i spring for something better in the future.
>>106610678It doesn't have any adverse effect other than wasting your money. It won't make your pc more powerful or safer.
>>106610720looks like everything that isn't a 90 class card is shit
>>106610678The "NIPPON CAPACITORS SUPER WELL BUILT AND RELAIABLE POWER SUPPLY VERY GOOD SIR" meme is a fucking meme, chink power supplies last a decade too if you don't purposely rape them.
>>106610603The "spike" is just greasy techtubers fear mongering. Every electronics device is designed to deal with transient and it shouldn't cause any instability.
>>106610604yes, 4k is a money sink and all you are going to do is whine about how games do not perform well
>recommended KTC M27T6 miniLED>there's an IPS version of it called KTC M27T6S>goes for like $210 in my shitty country>no one reviews it except chinese women https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV16fJEzWEE3Man
>>106610803except the times when spikes burn cables and capacitors blow up, other than that just a tech youtuber babble
>>106610824I'd pay attention to gamma tracking and deltaEs instead of response tiems that don't matter anymore.
>>106610808Thanks. Any recommendations? I know there's links in the OP but it's always good to have more opinions.
>>106610750Mostly AI focused upgrades only like improved memory and cache bandwidth and fp4 support. Also a couple of bug fixes to some shader features introduced last gen and to display stream compression. As for why Blackwell underperforms in games, it's because it also has a L1 and L2 cache latency regression over Ada.
>>106610850I'm on cheaper QDOLED from MSI, so I'd recommend looking into new tandem oleds from LG, I'm not sure if they are out or not, my advice get factory calibrated ones even if it's $300 more. Samsung is surprisingly okay on calibration front, design is meh though.the only issue with cheap OLED is gamma tracking, so some darker tones look lighter, defeating the purpose, still looks pretty great but needs adjusting2700 hours on mine, zero issues of daily 16h use
>>106610865>As for why Blackwell underperforms in games, that's because driver team got cut. they moved a lot of people to AI stuff.
>>106610850One of the new 500Hz QD-OLEDs as they get brighter than the old 240/260Hz models and stay that way without dimming as much.If you can't control your ambient lighting then get one of the new Tandem RGB WOLEDs as LG improved the color volume/gamut on it compared to older non-tandem versions.Even with tandem, WOLED will still trail QD-OLED in color volume, gamut, and panel uniformity however so only get one again if you have uncontrolled lighting.Lists of both model types here:https://www.displayninja.com/best-oled-monitor/
>>106610865>bug fixes to some shader featuresI was thinking of mega geometry they added in Blackwell to deprecate the less flexible/useful displaced micro meshes introduced in AdaIt's still shitty that their SER requires specific software support and is not implemented in hardware (like in Rdna4) though
>>106610955any realistic bets on UDNA? They will clearly improve RT, but by how much? They always have to play catchup to counteract nvidia .dll plague.
I didn't think i'd live long enough where i'd be upgrading a gpu solely for AI, and from a 5080 to a 5090 because i need more vram, but here we are.
>>106610973I'd like to personally say to you: FUCK YOU and your stupid AI ads. AI pron, AI images, AI videos FUCK YOU it sucks!
The biggest leap between the 5080 and 4080 is the display controller that's it.
>>106610972There's no concrete details yet since it's too early. With how good rdna4 turned out, I'm fairly optimistic about udna. But amd's own track record shows that every good architecture is followed by a bad one which I hope they don't repeat
>>106610980I'm generating porn specifically for my fetishes and not posting it anywhere actually.
>>106611099don't you feel self belittling by your own degeneracy? where is your pride man?
A cheap oled is still oled nonetheless. Might get the LG 27GS95QE-B for 440€
>>106611145Sad world when 500 smackers is considered cheap. Electronics were a mistake, we need to go back to woodworking and etching for entertainment.
>>106611152I agree but IPS/TN/VA are all just so dogshit compared to OLED. My compromise would've been a miniLED, but those things are rare and often come close in price to OLED anyways.
>>106611145consider one of cheaper MSI ones, they got for like $400, under $300 on sale
>>106611145hdr oled makes the gooning more realistic
>>106611175I'm not using HDR, it fucking blinds me. SDR looks good enough.
>>106611174>400$ Aint no way, whats the model name?
>>106611186MAG 271QP QD-OLED X24they renamed it from 271QPX E2, which you can find for cheap
>Me when redstone is still just "second half of 2025"
>>106611198Must be a US thing only, I'm only seeing the renamed costly version
>>106611218really? I have it for $400 here in the most sanctioned country on earth. Can even order for $350-ish from China.
>>106611134This tech is stuff i've literally dreamed about when i was young, and never thought it would be possible. I read fake magazines back then in the 90s that had this kinda thing, which all turned out to be lies at the time.
>>106611227Yeah it's not listed anywhere here. If it ships internationally, then you can link me those sites. Otherwise ill just get the LG
>>106611163OLED is dogshit meant for movie-watching poorfags who don't have room to install a good projector.
>>106611295that's a strawman if I ever seen one
>>106611096>But amd's own track record shows that every good architecture is followed by a bad one which I hope they don't repeatIn this case they have fucktons of money from the CPU side of the business. So there's hope. But who really knows.
I started at 5200MT 40/40/40/77 with trfc at like 777 or something. Surely I've already gotten some better performance, right?I'll try for 6000MT tonight.
>>106611482do a timespy physics test without the OC and with the OC to see the difference
>>106611485I'll have to look into pirating that shit. Been using the Demo from Steam.
>>106611482just plug in the timings in the link we sent you and set it to 6000
>>106611492I've been gradually applying them. I'm at work right now, so I might try more tonight, but I also kinda want to actually use my PC (crazy I know) too.
>>106611508You doing it gradually takes more time than just using tried and tested timings that have been validated by thousands of people.
>>106611508why bother with a mid step 5600mhz speed setting? its only wasting your time. best to just shoot for 6000 and start manually optimizing your timings at that speed instead
>>106611582>>106611532I swear I might just return to 5200MT and pretend RAM doesn't matter. This is way more complex than GPU or CPU overclocking I feel out of my depth even though I'm following spoonfeed-tier guides and PDFs
>>106611661Just go straight to 6000mhz with tightened timings. It's worth the effort
>>106611491Kinguin has it for like $9.
>>106610824heres ur review
>>106612014NtaWhich one is which?>retard still running 1080p TN 75Hz due to not giving a fuck
>>106612014I have seen that one but I have also seen the text webm that shits on VA. Honestly I'd rather take the bloom instead
>>106612080have you seen this particular VA panel doing those things?if the pixel response times are faster, which they are compared to random old va panel, its not as bad
>>106612014va looks like THAT? dayum
IPS is just the standard default choice. I don't want to risk a VA panel having shitty colors and motion clarity. Backlight bleed/glow isn't even noticeable outside fully black screens, and especially not noticeable in a bright room with a lamp on.
>>106612080I had the TCL 27" miniLED VA for two weeks and white text had rainbow outline. The text clarity in general was worse coming from IPS
