Running lineage os on my redmi note 9s, it's like a brand new phone... So smooth, better functionality, great battery life. Stock android is so nice. Old xiaomi exclusive shit, like the IR blaster and the multiple cameras also work on it. R9s is a great chinkphone to keep around, since I now know how to repair it and parts are pretty cheap and plentiful. I even put on a cheap aftermarket AMOLED display on it, from aliexpress, though it looks better than the original, but it does seem to have occasional phantom touch issues.
