Nah but Bluetooth still only does what like 32kb/s of data? LC3+ manages 128kb? It's still far from transparent, but at the same time when in public where you're using Bluetooth background noise is gonna be a bigger obstacle anyway.

Devices that can use rechargeable AAs or other standardized sizes are the only good wireless options. The trend of every random item having a bespoke lithium pack superglued into it that's guaranteed to run down and lose capacity after a few years is the worst because it doesn't need to be like this

Sometimes the fastest way to get something working is to just plug it in. Fussing with bluetooth when it doesn't work is a straight pain. Also helps that when you plug something in, you don't have to worry about battery life.

>>106729100
not defending the shitposter you replied to here, but bluetooth tech is just audibly very mediocre unless you aren't using the cheapest shit possible, the cheapest electronics also come with the crappiest [everything] about them, so it wouldn't mattter if it did lossless perfectly within 300m, the electronics themselves are essentially very lossy in order to be so cheap

>>106729228
With good ambient isolation and even more with noise-cancellation, quality could not be MORE apparent.
>>
>>106730163
I have been using rechargeable Panasonic/Sanyo AAs and AAAs in my devices for many years, that's honestly a huge convenience and I never spend a penny on disposable alkalines.

My 42" Samsung Q60T's remote is still using the batteries it came with, they have yet to die out. I got this TV back in 2021 or so. Excellent smart TV. A lot of stuff is more efficient than ever, except the cheapest chinkshit you can find, presumably - I would not know how badly, I stay away from the cheapest things but I do not go to the opposite extreme on anything, either. Best deals are in the middle, and closer to cheap.

>>106730045
latency is a none-issue since some years ago

>>106730196
It's a necessity on smaller devices, larger stuff big enough to house rechargeable AAAs or AAs is not excused. People are stupid and lazy, and companies take advantage of that.

Retro tech is more fashionable than normie trash. You can buy wireless earbuds for less than $10 in any corner store or gas station. You have to order wired earphones online, which makes them more special and also signals that you're not an NPC and are probably better than most people.

Wired is literally THE ONLY way to get actual high fidelity sound. Literally the only way.
Wireless will only get you mediocre sound at best, even when compared to an actually good headphone system of many decades ago.
>>
>>106731619
>>106733644
The "best" bluetooth latency is with LC3(30ms), aptx LL and airpods on iphone(60ms). For everything else expect 100+ms easily, I've even seen 300ms.

no, it's because hfp/hsp sounds like dogshit due to low bitrate and "fast compression" and hasn't been updated. the only bluetooth headphones you should get are airpods pro or airpods max, apple has proprietary extensions that let you do aac both ways for decent call quality. no-name bluetooth 5.2 stinker headphones need not apply
