What mouse+keyboard do you use at the office? I've been using the cheap generic ones they give out but they're starting to show bad wear and I've been having connectivity problems with the mouse.

My current strat is to skim through the MIT intro to algos lectures to become baseline familiar with the essential data structures, then either skim through EPI or dive straight into leetcode practice depending on how rough the leetcode goes. I tried to dive right into leetcode before and while I made a fair amount of progress I kept running into problems where the expected solution was a more esoteric (to me) data structure like a heap and I didn't see it intuitively. First job = a consulting position had me do the front end backend for a client. Did that with no help. Got fired because of my performance. Managers estimated 400 hours and told me they expected me to do it in 100. They didn't even know what git was. They had sql apis. How the fuck do you estimate that

Job I had this year = got hired as a python dev, it was not python it was a help desk position with zoho low code programming. Again a consulting position and they kept pressuring deadlines. A client was complaining they'd have to pay for 5 minutes of my time because i gave the ticket to someone else because I understood nothing of her problem. Boss told me to lie to a client and not tell her that my solution to her problem will require a 42$ per month subscription. The guy that was fired 1 month before told me that they used freelance workers and made them work for free because the company doesn't make the client pay when they make a mistake. They accept any projects without any kind of contract of what will be delivered so clients complain about everything

Honestly things were pretty awful 6-8 years ago too, it's just that nothing was done then so now we're hitting the peak of everyone realizing what the fuck is going on. There was a small amount of time where warehouse jobs were paying a little more than usual under Trump I but I still distinctly already remember getting out of college as an (admittedly) average-at-best candidate and there was just nothing. A lot of the same problems back then are happening now, just more common.
