The RU7 is basically tailored for EQing Chinese IEMs. It upsamples 44.1KHz input to 11.2MHz before running it through the resistors. It's gonna smoothen everything instead of sharpen. You can rawdog even an EDC Pro and it'll be listenable for almost an album. That extra convenience was worth taking a used dongle from the market.

This in return also means that the technical chops are also fuzzier and less defined when compared to the Ruta10. What's a good "budget" PMP?I looked at things like the hifi walker H2 (non touch) and the surfans F20.I would prefer a non touch variant.I "need":- Play from folder capability, I like to organize my music.- Bluetooth capability, better codec is a plus.I will primarily use it wired but I'd like the option to use it wireless also.I will primarily drive IEMs and oldschool gear like the Porta Pros for the nostalgia.
