I've used Opus 4 a fair bit and I think while it's technically good it just doesn't have that roleplay spice. Opus 3 wasn't perfect, it was notorious for doing its own thing, but at least that had funny outcomes. I haven't tried Sonnet 4.5 so I can't say how it is, but 3.5 had some good moments when properly instructed. That's dying soon by the way, RIP.
