Holy shit, I fucking can't with Sonnet 4.5 anymore. Gemini is dry as fuck in comparison, but Sonnet 4.5 just fucking REFUSES to listen to you. You can add an assistant prefill or a CoT where you explicitly tell it to do or not do something, and it will just fucking ignore you and do it anyway (including speaking/acting for you, which it fucking LOVES to do). This is essentially what "thinking" is supposed to do.

Implementing in ST as an extension would be trivial but I strongly believe not worth. If you really want outputs to be biased towards a certain style, try to account for that by adding instructions for the kind of writing you want and be smart about where you inject that into context. ST has plenty of tools to make this easy.

For example, create a message the bot sees at a depth of 1 in context so that it appears as its writing prompt right after the user's last message. A thinking LLM is going to run with that and give you very close to a best case scenario output if you're writing your prompt thoughtfully.
