In the world of mice that is extremely heavy. If that doesn't bother you than so be it. But the meme shape doesn't do anything. If you like it it's not a bad mouse but you should at least check out some alternatives.
A good mouse should be between 38-60g max. You'll notice the difference when you try one and never want to go back to tank mice again.

It's like OLED, you don't know what you are missing until you try it then you can never go back. Got this thing a few months ago and it was like crawling out of plato's cave for the first time.
If that's too rich for you Glorious O is much cheaper and is pretty light too.
You just really can't appreciate the feel of a light mouse until you have one to compare to a heavy ass one like the one OP mentioned.

32 inch 4k monitors are too expensive
I can get a 1440p 27 inch for 130 dollars or a 4k 27 inch for 185 dollars. Is it worth paying extra for 4k at that size? I probably can't play games at 4k on my toaster anyway.

You should probably move to AM5. I like the 9070, I think it's a better buy than the XT.
>>
Weird, I did some bench on my gpu because cs2 was behaving shittily and was troubleshooting
It was like 11k score while online people had low 14k to high 16k scores, so something was wrong. Undervolting had some success bringing it to 12k+.
I then obviously ordered thermal putty and phase change pad for the gpu. maybe it has dried paste

Then I did DDU to do clean driver install and after than it behaved normally, 14k+ scores like other people.
I installed windows few months ago and its 4y old nvidia 3080, so there isnt any amd gpu to nvidia swapping going on. What could the drivers issue be that happened in that time frame, or is it windows fucking things up? The ddu steps specifically go over disconnecting ethernet cable so windows doesnt autodownload drivers for the gpu.

you could get a 5800x3d or 5600x3d although they aren't cheap from what I can tell
the 5800x is a lot less but might not be as big of an upgrade over the 3700x for gaming

Nah not really. 1440p is great and it's also the best at integer scaling for emulating old console resolutions to use as much screen as possible. 4K only really shines in big TV type displays. Running stuff in 1440p at higher fps is better than slower at 4K.

The X-series chipsets are more for work than consumer use. One can imagine a videographer or data scientist benefiting from high USB bandwidth but it's not going to make much, if any, difference to a guy that occasionally edits his holiday photos. Plus that bandwidth has to come from somewhere which usually means losing PCIe lanes in certain configurations. There's only a few X870 boards that don't lane-share and they're all expensive (more copper, finer tolerances).
USB4 can be used for display output which is probably the most common client use. X870(E) might be useful for a super high-end VR rig or simracing.

ram/psu/cases/coolers dont use special ingredients sourced from 1 company so they're typically easier to find discounted

why are voltage controlled fans bad?
>>
>>106855965
That's not quite correct. Our perception of bass frequencies is certainly /less/ directional than mid/treble but the waves do still travel in defined directions. You probably won't notice it with a single downfiring sub but it is something to consider when setting up a stereo bass system. In any case it is a marginal effect; you can get away with moving a front-ported speaker closer to the wall but better to design the system such that you don't need to from the outset.

it's not about our perception but in order to direct or reflect sound waves, your waveguide/reflector needs to be as large as the soundwave itself. yes obviously the location of the speaker matters but at low frequencies the direction of the driver or bass ports don't matter (unless your speaker 5m wide).

The 9800X3D is bad for video editing and is never marketed for it when a 9950X would be cheaper and much better at it. You can use the 9070XT in Blender all you want, considering the Blender team's previous attitude towards Radeon graphics cards you are welcome to decide for yourself if this is the time they will finally support them properly.

Can i please get a bit of help and critique on this low-midlow build? This is in Spain and would rather get it all through amazon.es if possible.
I dont mind paying 20€ or whatever extra in any (or all) pieces for a better overall build, getting those from a more reputable brand or whatever, is not about saving the most money and making it the cheapest, im just trying to make a build that sticks to my needs which should be amply covered by a build around this performance.
Mainly for overall use, some gaming @1440p but i dont mind if it that gaming has to be on mid settings for modern stuff, i mainly play indy smaller shit and some emulators.
I already have a 500gb nvme so i should be fine with an extra 1tb forever and a day
I know im picking a fairly expensive psu but i had some troubles with a psu back in the day and thats the place i rather spend an extra 30 or whatever to get a well reviewed platinum psu
Could use help on the gpu; I understand that on the 700-900€ range it is 5070TI or 9070XT but i have no idea whats going on on the 300-450€ range.
Also on the cpu i picked that one mainly going by what the price seems would align with the rest of the build. Again mainly office work, media consumption and some gaming.

If this thing ever doesn't cut it or starts to get burn in, I'll buy another OLED monitor. It just looks too fucking good to not be my main monitor.

Has nothing to do with polling rate, that is completely overrated. You can't tell the difference between 500 and 2000. Weight is the only statistic that really matters for a mouse. Even shitty mice have good sensors and polling rates these days. Expensive mice weigh less and it is worth paying for but again you won't see the appeal until you try it.
Just get one on amazon and you have a month to play with it and if you still want to use a tank than just send it back.

No I'm right and anyone buying 9800X3D + 9070XT for Blender is a retard
>>
>>106856739
I agree, buying an X3D chip when the 9900X is significantly cheaper and faster is better. You could even go back to the 7900X and it will be a better choice for blender. Plus the money saved could go towards a better GPU, like the 5070 Ti. Sounds like a retarded AMD fanboy that wants to justify their gaming PC for work. Even though it would still be great for games, I don't know why you would be so hellbent on the 9800X3D for blender when you're losing 4 cores to spend more money.
>>
>>106856320
Looks solid. Safe and standard. You're overspending on the SSD and PSU but you've covered that so I won't press.

>Could use help on the gpu
5060Ti 16GB > 9060Ti 16GB > 5060Ti 8GB > 9060 8GB
If you dropped the CPU+SSD+PSU back a notch you could afford a 5060Ti 16GB but the difference between them is small. Main advantage would be DLSS but it seems you don't play many games with it. Up to you.

I will stick to a 16gb card either way so its a cheapo 9060TI or a cheapo 5060TI which would be 80 or so extra bucks, i can swing that if i end up thinking its appropriate
The ssd im ok with it being a bit more expensive to get one from a better known brand same with the psu, might drop to a 650W but i dont expect the price difference being anything to write home about.
What are other options on CPU? i assume would be the 7600x? thats like 40€ cheaper, might end up picking that one a 650w psu and then the 5070TI and end up paying just a bit more
Any other cpu options?

NTA but part of the reason AMD is so fucked in GPUs is because people have bought AMD GPUs and got fucked because of it.

Ironically I did upgrade to a 1080 ti and come to find out my issues where 100% the GPUs fault.

I got a 970gtx and rode it until it crumbled in my fingers like sand
Wasn't a regular in these threads back then so i didnt even know that they had finessed me out with the 3.5gb memery
The card just worked and it worked until the rest of my pc was dying so i cant fault amd there
Only reason i now have a 3060TI instead of a 6xxx xt is that i got an stupidly good deal on the 3060TI
The way i see it AMD problem is that they understood their place perfectly, they know they can't compete with the 80 and 90 models but then they refuse to properly invest on dominating the 60 and 70 market
Look at the amount of buzz the 9070xt got for competing with the 5070TI on a lower price. If AMD can silence the critiques about features (ray tracing, cuda etc) and keep hammering that spot of offering similarly performing cards but 100 dollars cheaper than nvidia i think that they are bound to get a chunk of that market.
The problem is that they might not think it worth it.
I will use my 3060TI until it catches on fucking fire and if then the better bang for my money is an amd card, im there for it. Im cured of tribalism. The just need to make the product

They can be, my suggestion is putting every part you might possibly be interested into pcpartpicker and just checking it religiously. It will show you the lowest price across different platforms. it does usually run a promotion event yes
but its more akin as how they do their prime days that they discount a bunch of shit nobody wants and the things you want have like a 5% discount (as shown in the prime days 3 days ago)
however the specific vendor might have sales while amazon is just being the middle man

Look I had to save a long fucking time for this, I have a bit of money but I'm not able to just buy whatever the fuck I want. I honestly went into this not wanting to spend more than 500 dollars on a screen. Spending 900 for the c5 was already a stretch. Spending double just for some extra brightness is not in the cards and I honestly don't think it will matter. I'm sensitive to bright like, I always have my monitor brightness set as low as it can and I am in a room with no windows. It's a small room, a 55 inch would barely fit, the 48 inch fills up a lot of the space I think it will be just fine.
I've got 60 days to return it so if for some reason it's not enough I can send it back but I doubt I will go bigger it's just not worth that much more money.

Yeah the average PC builder is in their mid 30s now with an established career and disposable income. That marginal customer that can afford a $500 card but not a $600 one barely exists. Doubly so now that the card is ±50% of the cost of the entire rig. AMD would have to bring it back to pre-explosion prices, where a '60 class was $200, but it's hard to do that when TSMC has zero spare capacity. Maybe they can try stratification again; make the next gen '60 a rebadged 9070XT when N4 is cheaper.
>>
>>106857893
>the average PC builder is in their mid 30s now with an established career and disposable income
That's part of it
Another part is Zoomers tend to spend more on things they otherwise would not be able to readily quantify. They buy a new car, it's often the highest trim. They eat at a restaurant, it's often higher up the price bracket for the aera. Most of anything they buy is more upmarket than what previous generation would consider and it's almost on instinct.
It's not like they really have the money, they'll go broke doing this shit considering how easy it is to borrow money.

I can't hate on it, they used to make tech that just worked. My whole build and screen is that old and the only part that ever broke was the sound card and wifi card. But I'm getting older and my eyesight is getting worse. That's the main reason I wanted to go for a bigger screen. Honestly I think it's just fomo and 48 will be more than big enough for me.
>>
>>106858516
yeah that's the thing it'll be an upgrade for 2-3 years and then break and you're expected to just "upgrade" again
>>
>>106858526
Well I got the 5 year best buy warranty. So I'm good for one replacement at least which I'm hoping will stretch the total life out to at least 6-7 years. By then hopefully the tech will be much better and last longer.

hate to be the guy talking about the G5 constantly
but considering it's a Tandem panel and more layers and most importantly brighter, it also has a longer effective life span as a pc monitor because you drive it less hard on less brightness, plus the XX% Increase in life span purely from tandem, plus LG's inherent 5 year panel warranty

Stop at the 5800XT or the 5700X.
One of the 8-core -X3D chips, if you can find a good deal.
That board is almost guaranteed to have a power limit that throttles some higher-end CPU's multithreaded, which won't be an issue for gaming.
5700X will definitely work under that limit.

Actually I think I'm going to be just fine, I found this calculator that is supposed to tell you your idea screen size based on how far away you are. I measured it and I'm exactly 4' 7'' away which according to that chart makes 34 inch screen ideal. So 48 inches will probably be more than enough for me. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/by-size/size-to-distance-relationship
>>
>>106858822
Depends on your budget and needs. Do you have a computer that can even handle 4k? If you don't have at least a 9070xt or a 5070xt probably not.
If you do go oled make sure it has a burn in warranty. The difference in screen quality is there but it's hard to judge if you don't see it in person.
You don't miss what you don't know so if you are happy with what you have you don't NEED to consoom.

I swapped to this MB and CPU today from a 5800X3D, and I can't get it to post. I took out my GPU, disconnected every drive but the boot drive, even connected a live USB with Mint on it. The LED indicator has a green light for boot but nothing seems to be happening. I have the Intel drive with windows 10 in it now, tried one dimm. I have a BIOS flashback button but there is no guide that I can find what to do. My manual is very sparse, I assume green is good. That's easy just get a mini led. The QM7k is a great choice. You'll have to put up with some haloing though, I saw it in a store and its only really bad if there is something bright right next to a black thing. Most of the time you probably won't notice it.

last time I checked the issues were mobo manufacturers shitty controllers and what they use

the fact that that was less or not existent on intel mobos? the fuck
