It was system design. I was expecting to go to a whiteboard, draw a bunch of components, explain the system HDL, decisions and trade-offs.
In reality it was just like 5 minutes of verbally explaining the system and the metrics it accomplished after its implementation.

Well, it has to do with how degrees work in my country.
The basic idea is that we also go to university for 3-5 years depending on the degree. We only choose one area, we don't really have the concept of "major" or "minor", for us it's just a degree (or a major I guess).
Once you finish all the courses or subjects, you are an "intern" but not in the sense of the word for interns at companies. It just means you finished all your studies but don't have your degree yet.
You can get your degree if you had extraordinary grades, or by an exam, or most commonly, by writing a thesis and defending it. And that's when you actually get your degree and become, for example, "a computer engineer".
So in my case, I started my professional studies in 2013, life happened (money problems plus being a terrible student during the first half). Got gud, finished all the courses by 2023, but only started the tramits to get my degree this year.
I have some documents to transact, some payments to make, and so on, but I expect to finish the process this year and the degree will surely arrive in 2026.
