>>106925243>can you repeat that but in actual numbers instead? how POS with at least 75 dB/mW efficiency translates into needing "more power"?75dB/mW means it’s 20dB less sensitive than something like a 94dB/mW set.every 10dB= 10× power, so to get the same loudness you need over 50× more juice.100dB on the 94dB set equals like 4mW. on the 75dB one it's over 300mW.
>>106925273As an owner of the EPZ Q1 Pro for gaming and the Xenns Mangird Tea Pro for music, is it worth spending £149 for the Crinear Daybreak for listening to music? I am looking for a $100-200 IEM, then I can take a rest from this space for a couple of years.
>>106925368what are you basing this claim on?600mw will push it to like 100+ dBno like literally what the fuck are you even talking about? It's not for loudness. Even if you still listen at low volume, you need the 600mw because it allows the planar yo fully open up its sound.
>>106925410What's wrong with the Tea Pro?
>>106925420>you need the 600mw because it allows the planar yo fully open up its sound.you don't need over half a watt for that.

>>106925401I doubt its efficiency is actually 75 btw it's probably 94 (fuckers did not specify and I'm too lazy to actually look it up)yeah but something a bit more sane like 80 dB will only need 3mW...and for sure this thing doesn't need fucking 600mW...
>>106925420>It's not for loudness. Even if you still listen at low volume, you need the 600mw because it allows the planar yo fully open up its sound.you can't shove 600mw into a pos with resistance of 15 om and not make it loud as fuck...

graph fortunetellers need to hear IEMs with their eyes because of their profound hearing loss, which is why they can't EQ treble peaks by ear. it all makes sense now

I think I found the ideal method, it's repeatable, quick, and very easy to implement and use. There are flaws, especially at higher leakages, but it should cover most bases.I'll have to see the behavior on different IEMs and drivers to check if the leakage conditions are representative enough to point out differences in leak tolerance, but this seems promising.

these worth it? tried the Tanchjim Echo's and moondrop Robins and wasnt impressed nor were they comfortable.
