I can tell that the tilde is mod color and it's pissing me the fuck off
>>
>>106926862
Yeah I don't really get that either. Putting mod color on pipe or tilde is full retard and so many kits are doing it now
>>
>>106926877
Why do people hate basic aesthetics? Having a gap between tab and esc is dumb.
>>
>>106926862
>>106926877
Sheer fucking autism.
>>
>>106926847
Perhaps that's why it got canceled. Looks like a hobo board with the mod color tilde. Boom
>>
>>106927004
Mod colors express mod functionality, which is why they are disgusting on characters like tilde, pipe, and spacebar, which input characters as the alphas do.
>>
>>106927126
Why aren't you complaining about the two tone F keys as well, then.
>>
>>106927167
The rules are different for the f-row and the numpad. On the f-row, alternating clusters make them easier to distinguish visually, and it's just an old convention which is by this point well entrenched. The physical separation from the alpha cluster is what makes it acceptable that it plays by different rules, but if some take issue with this I understand that point of view, obviously.

On the numpad, the numbers are distinct from operators, which are treated as they would work on e.g. a calculator, which is ofc more comparable to mods than to alphas
>>
>>106927192
The mental gymnastics you have to go through to say "okay well these aesthetic changes are fine but I DRAW THE LINE AT TILDE!" is comical.
>>
>>106927240
Listen man you can make your keyboard as ugly as you want it's your keyboard, I'm sorry if it upsets you that I and others think you're a tasteless retard with no respect for agreement between visuals and function, but you're not going to change my mind by accusing me of "mental gymnastics" lol
>>
>>106927260
But, neither are you. You excuse non mod keys being colored like mod keys when they're on the numpad, and you excuse mod keys being colored like alpha keys when they're in the F row.

If your complaint was "I prefer the aesthetics when tilde pipe and space aren't mod colored", then that would've been fine. Instead you tried to make it into a functional issue, which is retarded. I prefer when they're mod colored, makes the board look like a smiley face.
>>
>>106927293
I will leave it to neutral third parties to make up their minds for themselves who is the idiot in this exchange.

The F-row is separate from the main cluster, and they're literally function keys, not alphanumerics. So breaking them up both spacing-wise and visually makes sense, since having a line of 12 very similar looking keys in a row would lead to the user searching for the right key, which would be less efficient.
In the main cluster mods being one color, and the alphanumerics being another makes sense.
If you want a mod colored tilde or pipe key just for visual symmetry that's fine, but it breaks the convention of why those keys are colored the way they are.
>>
>>106927355
Maybe next GMK should start making mod color 1 in all their sets so that these "aesthetic symmetry enjoyers" can break the unity of the numrow in order to perfectly mirror the color of 2u backspace. I wonder if that's a bridge too far even for them. Although I think Gay-for-GMK Tommy Two-Intros would do it in a heartbeat

there is a discussion about mod colors right above your post which you could contribute to, or perhaps you'd like to talk about chinkshit keycap recommendations from aliexpress?

HAVE I BEEN SUMMONE-
>Two-Intros
must be someone else then, for I have a third Intro on the way. Starry black, it's perfect for the KKB Poltergeist. Always wanted to have a purple keycap set that didn't look like gays from outer space.
>>
Also lol at the plebbitor who told me to go for PP with tactiles, I tried it out of curiosity but nothing makes my Melodics feel enjoyable except plain old Alu.

Running in the hallway violates the calm predictability of the hallway which makes it conducive to safe and steady traffic of students. That this public good, enjoyed by all, should be endangered by the recklessness of a few students is obviously unacceptable. My school had athletic facilities and open fields where a student can run to his heart's content, leaving no excuse to do so in the hallways.

Tbf it's on one out of several others where the tilde key isn't a mod color but nonetheless, when it works out it works out. The mod color scheme looks good because it's WKL.

Looks like a mix of CYL, SA and DSA profiles. The alphas have all sorts of colours. Now this, this is TRVE individualism. This keyboard has character.

>>
>>106931785
>The alphas have all sorts of colours.
They all, as far as I can tell, indicate functionality. Dark for what we usually call mods, light for alphas, and a middle gray helps to see the shape of the numpad in the alphas (which, as a hidden-numpad-65% user, I completely understand.) The mod color dot in the numpad is an interesting difference, which does make sense, since it's a bit of an edge case (Is it modifying the inputs that follow, or placing a dot character in the number? Their interpretation makes sense.)
