That's why some moron made a thread on /tg/ about this same subject, which attracted zero interest last I checked. I'm all for having somewhere else to go if this place gets shuddered, but for fuck's sake don't make it so obvious that all you want to do is make an altchan.

Posters are normally anonymous.Usenet News has much longer activity times, not limited to 10 pages, it is text only and no files or images. Posters are traditionally pseudonymous.All in all I'd say these complement each other and cannot be competitors.
