There are items on the Steam workshop I want to try for some games, but it will take a while to really go through all the mods. I've already seen some disappear and this concerns me. It's like Nexus Mods all over, shit gets deleted and disappears.

Is there a more straightforward way to download them in advance to store locally?

I really dont want to go back to some chrome based browser, including ungoogled.
What are my options for a working firefox fork on arch?

Why do unity games crash for me?
Anyone else?

I tried:
* disabling Intel Turbo Boost in BIOS.
* disabling boost mode Windows power options
* Removing XMP
* Updated NVIDIA drivers
* Disabled Steam overlay
* Set to native 4k resolution
* Set to 1080p
* Limited FPS to 60 in NVIDIA Control Panel
* Undervolted CPU
* Disabled Hyper-V
* Tried Vulkan, DX12, and DX11. (DX12 lasts longer before crashing)

What are the 4chan apps people are using?

I got a new phone and for the longest time I was using Clover but that hasn't been maintained in a long time.

More straightforward than what?
I made a script to download every mod manifest for a game on the workshop using steamcmd but I wouldn't call it straightforward

I was given a decade old Sony Bravia TV and an Amazon Firestick HD. I already got an OTG cable & a pen rive to increase the puny 4GB storage Fire Stick has. Also enabled installing 3rd party apps in Dev mode. I want to torrent and watch content on this setup, what is the best way to do this with FOSS or at least free tools?

This is weird, can you post an image of such a captcha?

Why is yt-dlp.exe giving me 403 FORBIDDEN when trying to download my anime OP/ED songs today when it worked just fine when downloading my anime OP/ED songs three-four days ago???

Is my SRS fucked? If it showed me some cards twice despite being marked as easy, would that mean it didn't show me some cards that were due today at all?

"Crash" is bit vague term but,
whatever you do, don't disable processor turbo mode but set it to 'enabled' or 'aggressive'.
You don't want to gimp your cpu.
Maximum cpu frequency can be at 100% too.
If you have overheating issues look into undervolting your cpu, it's really easy in Windows with intelXTU or simply via your bios if possible.
If you have frequent crashes check Event Viewer and see what is happening there.

Thinking about buying a macbook for the screen.
What can't I run on there that I could on Windows? I have a few servers that I run specifically tachiyomi or jellyfin that I'd like to continue using as well as some .exe files for some emulators and old video games.

What do you even get out of a macbook?
A friend offered me a secondhand Mac pro and I have to admit it is tempting. However, I don't really get why Mac seems to be popular with the creative types/frontend programmers, specially since I'd just run Debian on it.

Is there anything a Mac could do better than my lenovo t460 with OnlyOffice?

I haven't used youtube in years so I don't know what's the big deal with the new look. You faggots really need to stop using it altogether instead of complaining every single week because Google changed the font or something.

I don't know, I enabled secure boot for battlefield and that's it

>More straightforward than what?
Than subscribing, finding the item in the install folder, then copying the files to a local archive.

Being able to just, idk, drag a URL for workshop items and get a "Download" button would be convenient IMO. I don't need to hoard every mod just the ones I stumble on and find interesting.
>>
>>106976987
it's not how it looks that's the problem, it's how it's used
i had an issue where a layout glitch caused the end cards to appear above the seek bar, meaning i couldn't rewind the video without clicking on another video, that's hostile design. i blocked them entirely with ublock.
someone else was saying the bar disappears too quickly to touch the player controls.
the entire bar is now taller, which is going to obscure baked-in subs on older videos.

the weirdest part is youtube can't decide if they're A/B testing me or not right now so it keeps swapping between the two designs, making the userscript linked in this reply chain not work, and the entire player doesn't load. and i can't troubleshoot the features the userscript has because they're all in a button that's baked in to the player that didn't load.

this is on top of how shitty of an experience youtube is and has been on the rest of the site for years, yeah, people have every right to be upset.

Yes, I get it, but if my favorite restaurant started serving me literal shit alongside my food, then I'd stop going there immediately. I'm not telling you to stop watching youtube videos, but to seek other methods for doing so, preferably less cucked ones. The only things you'd miss with this would be recommendations (which is a good thing, stop giving your data to Google) and the ability to comment on videos, which doesn't even matter nowadays.

I think a lot of it is just not wanting windows, while also wanting to avoid linux. For programming for example, you get a unix-like system with actually good terminal emulators and shit, and it's guaranteed to work just fine without having to tinker or tweak it or bother with DE crashes and whatnot. (Or at least that's the marketing.)
I don't know why creatives don't just use windows but maybe it's just that windows is generally unfashionable? Also obviously all the hubbub about windows 11, and back in the day the exact same hubbub about windows 10 and before that 8, possibly contributed to that. Again, if you're not interested in learning how to administrate a linux system, then mac is the only alternative.

Is there software that can recognise where pixels in 2 similar images overlap and automatically combine them?

These two images can form a larger image, it would be very nice if i could click a button and combine them rather than dragging the images in an image editor until the pixels overlap. I feel like it should be possible but ive never figured out how to do it
>>
>>106977482
Depending on the image editor, you might be able to set layers to not overlap, or to auto-align along borders, which simplifies things. I happen not to use any programs that can do that and cannot think of any off the top of my head.

>>106977278
those girls aren't worth it if they are that way
>>
>>106977482
I don't have any recommendations for specific software, but it might help you to know that what you're describing is called image stitching. You could start by looking here:

MacOS supposedly has better color management. Otherwise, Apple and their toys are seen as fashionable, so what's unfashionable is generally undesirable. People are stupid sheep, and Apple takes advantage of that, in combination with having a cult of personailty revolving around their brand itself. I think Windows and Ubuntu are easier to use overall, and color management can be fiddly without AMD or Intel Graphics Command Center, but on Windows, you can just use third party software that comes with reputable colorimetric(?) calibration devices, from what I know.
I think this stuff is unnecessary, I use simple calibration images and tweak by sight in my bathroom at night with the light off. Even if it is imperfect, looking at RGB values on reference imagesd allows me to be more precise with colors in GIMP and produce edits that look great on different displays of any kind. The RGB value reference is, honestly, the #1 most important thing, as far as getting colors "right" on the rare occasion I need to for any reason. I'm not a pro, so what do I know, though?

>I think Windows and Ubuntu are easier to use overall, and color management can be fiddly without AMD or Intel Graphics Command Center, but on Windows, you can just use third party software that comes with reputable colorimetric(?) calibration devices, from what I know.
I’ve never bothered with optimizing my monitor’s display. What software should I use for improving the display?
>>
>>106977792
Yeah pretty much. The only other reason to want a macbook is for the apple silicon processors, which are unironically not bad, but this means spending $5k on a brand new top model and is pretty much never worth it unless work is buying it for you or something. The most extravagant AMD strix halo laptops are similar in performance and cost like $3k max.

>>106977859
>I'm not a pro, so what do I know, though?
Well I'm not a pro either but I'm pretty sure that pros often want to calibrate for things like CMYK colours for printing, and that there's a bunch of mumbo jumbo so it's apparently not as easy as just getting the RGB values right.

>Have shit backup PC
>Always have linux on it

>Without any major updates, it runs well, almost no problems
>Install 30 GBs of updates
>Windows becomes an insanely bloated mess, actively can barely handle the CPU

>Instantly starts working well again
I swear most of this bloat is actively only there to make the experience worse, but has there been anybody that liked what Microshit introduced to windows in the past 5 years?
