>>107004192Same. I'm getting over a caffeine hangover. I switched to matcha tea recently so it isn't as brutal as coffee. Yes sir, I am one achy achy boy.
learn a trade
I'm pretty sure I'm going to leave terrible, (but relatively stable) job in February with no backup plan. Talk me out of it.
Reposting from last thread-I had an interview with the recruiter, an interview with two L2 analysts, and a final interview with 2 managers. Each interview was about a week apart from each other and the final interview was 11 days ago. I emailed the recruiter 2 days ago asking if there were any updates and got no reply.Am I getting ghosted? Do larger companies actually do that? Should I email the recruiter again on Monday? All interviews felt like they went well, especially the second one. Never experienced this before and I'm starting to get a little nervous about the silence.
>>107004165yeah I've got 4 activities planned with my GF.whats on the NEET menu? same shit as the last 5 years?
>>107004204Oh, yeah I would never give up coffee. I don't understand why you people do it. Like... sure, it's a caffeine addiction, but there really aren't any negatives to it, other than the need to keep consuming caffeine. As long as you're not taking in too much sugar with it (like energy drinks or starbucks crap), it's fine. But, my head hurts from a blunt force impact last weekend. It was fine for a while, but finally started hurting today. Probably not good. The best part is no one in the office asked about the bandages or bruising, not even my manager.

I have like 4 programming languages listed on my curriculum, 10 tools, environments, some projects and that isn't enough to get me a job as a junior developer. Please.

>>107004578>in a way most juniors wouldn't haveThree juniors have rotated into my team this year, they're all 100% (and I do mean 100%) depending on AI to do their job. It's a really worrying thing because of all the "invisible damage" that goes out, looks good in appearance but the most insidious bugs go through. One of the juniors is stuck in a sort of hamster wheel where he's constantly hotfixing the stuff he already worked on a few months prior.
>>107005596Are you seeing consistent usage of design principles? My experience is seeing code that is overly verbose and concrete despite some abstractions and reusable components already present in the codebase, and inconsistency such that some churned out code seems to follow fundamental principles whereas some can just blatantly violate them. This is assuming the code is vanilla stuff that isn't concerned with specific domains / libraries that are a bit out of the way of mainstream code, at which point it begins to hallucinate complete crap.
>>107004136allow me to elaborateyou should kill yourself NOW. and give somebody else a piece of that fresh oxygen in this blue trapped bubble
I wish work wasn't as intense as it is.I want to rest for a bit, but I don't want to be a neet or work part time as I wouldn't be able to support myself. After 5 days of living and breathing with work, a Saturday is too much of a shock. By the time I calm down, it's Sunday. I never get to do anything like relax or hobby.
>>107005633>Are you seeing consistent usage of design principles? No, same issues as you, although those are much easier to spot in a PR so they're not my main concern.
If you make less than 200k, you're in the working class.
>>107006048'kay.
>>107006048you gotta factor in hours worked. 100k for a few hours each week isn't "working". 200k for 60-80 hour workweeks **is** working, and really never stopping working, which even laymen are able to do.

I already reduced the clone size by ONLY taking the master branch... it was still 36 gb. Taking all pushed branches would have been over 100 gb.This project is a shitshow

Do larger companies actually do that? Should I email the recruiter again on Monday? It's usually large companies that do that. You can e-mail again on Monday but it's pretty common to hear back a week or two after they said they would. You'll probably get a response this upcoming week but being ghosted or getting a reply weeks late is unfortunately the norm.

>>107007683>I think I'm good but I hate feeling like I need to study on the weekend in case there's ever a layoff and I get fired. There's so many jobs that'll do this to you. If you're putting out fires and working with an obscure technology most of the time, it's a dead-end. By "obscure technology" I don't mean something that's niche but ubiquitous across a certain sector, I'm talking about some gay UI library for a .NET application that ought to have been retired years ago.
browsing the linkedin job postings for fully in-office jobs so that i can work in an "open plan office" for forty hours a week and spend significant amounts of the work day surreptitiously staring at the visible panty lines of my 4/10 milf coworkersif AI kills white collar work, where am i gonna get my panty line fix? this shit is making me fucking anxious bros. i think i'd have to get a job at a library or some other place where women walk around wearing slightly too-tight pants that reveal the exact shape of the underwear they have on underneath
