I had an interview with the recruiter, an interview with two L2 analysts, and a final interview with 2 managers. Each interview was about a week apart from each other and the final interview was 11 days ago. I emailed the recruiter 2 days ago asking if there were any updates and got no reply.
Am I getting ghosted? Do larger companies actually do that? Should I email the recruiter again on Monday?
All interviews felt like they went well, especially the second one. Never experienced this before and I'm starting to get a little nervous about the silence.

My experience is seeing code that is overly verbose and concrete despite some abstractions and reusable components already present in the codebase, and inconsistency such that some churned out code seems to follow fundamental principles whereas some can just blatantly violate them. Up to now I had a project based on building pipelines, dashboards and reports with weekly change requests, and I was comfortable. I feel that as an employee it would be reasonable to become an expert of my own in these systems, but as a contractor that has a contract expiring by end of 2025 it doesn't make sense to become stressed as fuck trying to understand all this mess while at the same time I have to justify every hour I spend and how useful I am to the client I work for.

Leetcode is useless since they're 15-30 min gotcha problems in if you haven't seen them before you likely wouldn't figure them out without internet help. They're made entirely obsolete since chatgpt can solve most of them esp with a little trial and error within 5 minutes.

All companies did by focusing purely on leetcode and upping the difficulty of interviews is selecting for clever cheaters. Because the honest candidate pool becomes so tiny compared to cheaters, they likely will only hire cheaters.

Anons, I pushed back on the intense micromanaging my manager was doing to me and she isn't backing down. I made the mistake of checking my work laptop at night and I found another 4 messages and jira tasks from her sent outside of working hours. This woman seems to be a workaholic as well. Any ideas to get my contract cut short due to performance reasons? If I resign I have to give a notice period of 1 month, which is a lot more I would like to endure given the circumstances.

I don't know your org structure, but people having titles that don't actually align with their expertise isn't unusual. I've never done the last two job titles I had, and I'm pretty sure I didn't do them then, I was like a bridge gap employee fitting multiple roles that were being moved/deleted. Being honest and giving experienced takes on timelines and project costs has helped a lot.

Like the team of sys engineers under me are nearly all useless, and many of them were promoted into it. I've being doing a lot of collaborative work with the devops team lately, and most of them are shockingly bad as well. Surprise surprise, they were, once again, promoted into it because they didn't want to look outside for devops people and the devops manager wanted to "train people to do it his way". So of course devops has a near weekly incident, and god forbid you need them to unblock you on something, you'll wait months for them to figure it out.

The difference in ability between these people and nearly everywhere else I worked (mostly SaaS related) is actually quite shocking. There are like 8-10 people I can name right off the top of my head where I have no idea how they've managed to remain employed.
