>>107140547unironically my boss in the military forwarded me the recommendation letter he sent on my behalf (to a different company, but i got permission to reuse) and it said something about me dealing well with stress having not getting turnt for a week and looking at my conduct at work and thinking on how my bosses talk to me and how i've acted in general, honestly, I think I'm pretty hard to shake. stuff is always stupid, but stuff is always fixable. jokes abound about how dumb things are but my off the cuff response has been some variant of "I've seen dumber; this is workable and I don't have any better ideas anyway, let alone the GUMPTION for an engineering change" almost every time.i still like drinking and intentionally working myself up and see myself continuing to do so, but this is a venting method. straight copiumliterally today >the controller for the fake camera reports it's down so i just used a different station>the controller for the fame camera isn't even on, it's stuck in a boot loop, idiot.i literally just had to walk ten feet over to the server room and look at one(1) light. but again, conversation basically went>all you had to do was physically look at it, child>yeah i got lazy and didn't remember it even had its own box anyway>fair, except when someone wants to use it, but most people would have just shut off the whole room so at least you're not that sillyagain, still unsure why they hired me of all applicants
>>107130204Just go back to school, it's never too late. But don't make the mistake I made of actually finishing your CS degree. Literally, just get into nursing. Even associate in nursing or something like a lab technician is infinitely more valuable than a CS degree due to job security etc... Especially in today's market. The only way to be comfy is to be into medicine.
im unhealthily reviewing my old posts and realizing that my job in the military was/is an incredibly fucked up work environment even just on the IT dustman things and in just a few weeks of working a "real" job (still military adjacent, but as a civilian) people outright lie so much less and actual real documentation that isn't post-it notes right on equipment is so much more availableit didn't come up at work as A Thing but the other day the solution to something was to look up an engineering document of a space. it was just in a cabinet, available, and I was assured that electronic copies exist and are "only" a year or two out of date. I spent several years on the ships struggling to get literally one drawing of one patch panel and only got it because I convinced the contractor working on replacing one that had failed to leave me his copy and print a new one for himself once he was done crimping things.
I have a job

Eventually I got into an argument with dad and went just left and applied at amazon that same day since they basically hire anyone with a breath and no resume, and I've been stuck since.Honestly, I just want to go back in time and fix this major fuck up of my life>>107151969Thanks bro
