Man, my Gigabyte 5080 can't be propped up using the support bracket or else it will make an ear piercing rattling noise somehow even though the fans are NOT blocked by the bracket. Is leaving the card without sag support ok?

Stupid question: If I take my old SSD out of my old PC and put it in my new PC (without uninstalling anything from the old SSD) as a secondary drive, as long as I load from my primary (new) drive I'll have no problems booting into Windows so I can format the old drive directly from my new PC right? Like I don't have to "prep" the drive first?

I’m weighing up building a PC for the express purpose of replacing living room consoles - thinking I’ll just run Bazzite on it for a console-like experience. The more I research, the more I’m beginning to think this might be a fools errand? It seems ridiculously expensive to build a device capable of 4K gaming at 60fps (60Hz 4K television), if I want to be able to play new releases for more than a year or so from now. At least, buying a GPU capable of this and fitting it in a living-room appropriate form factor. Am I right on this, or am I missing some crucial detail?
Hey, I'm looking to upgrade my Ryzen 5 3600, budget ~$200-250 (the equivalent in my europoor currency) though I don't mind going a tier up IF it makes economical sense. Also going to stay on AM4.I think my choices are either 5800X+cooler (which one?) or 5800XT, but I can't get a clear consensus if the Wraith Prism is good enough for the CPU. The XT would be $50 extra.Any help?

>>1071432505700X, 5800X, 5800XT. It's exactly the same cpu, get whichever is cheapest.
>>107142908>Is leaving the card without sag support ok?no. the card WILL deform over time, it's heavy as fuck. lay the case flat if you have to.
>>107143230>or am I missing some crucial detail?Don't care about the size of the pc. Also play at 1080p like the other anon said.
>>107143259>>107143298Thanks based anons. I thought I must be missing something, otherwise there’d surely not be so many people banging on about their bazzite boxes.
>>107143323Online there's a lot of people that brag about their multimedia pcs, and about how small or quiet they are. Personally I don't find the size to be an issue, especially if you're using it to replace several consoles. Just get some quieter fans for the inside.

But I will admit, it's a tradeoff. I could also suggest the 9060 XT 16gb or the 5060 TI 16gb, but you get what you paid for (slightly cheaper than the 5070/9070, slightly lower FPS, but more vram).-AI is only a bit faster than running it on a CPU, the 5060 TI 16gb would run AI noticeably faster. People should get the 64gb or higher because of MoE models, BUT the MoE is only as good as the experts, I like big models (but you will never compete with free cloud models unless you drop $3000 for 48gb, which won't pay itself off unless you spend hundreds of hours on the AI every month, OpenRouter prices are so cheap for millions of tokens, the only way for the price to rack up is if you have a huge history, since the whole history is sent for every reply, but personally I think AI's become dumb after a few thousand tokens for RP, but I use dumb free cloud models).https://frame.work/products/framework-desktop-mainboard-amd-ryzen-ai-max-300-series?v=FRAFMK0002

>>107148218I don't even know man. I keep getting the feeling that i will fry it somehow, even though i am not changing psu cables or anything.
I mean...4800mhz isn't that low... Ddr4 used to be lower.
>in the middle of playing something>GPU crashes out>restart computer>only one monitor comes on>shit missing in Adrenalin so clearly Windows fucked with somethingwhy the FUCK does Windows do this shit
>>107148251yes yes there there you never needed that 6000MHz RAM to begin with.>>107148332Windows is trash. Adrenalin is trash. Graphics cards are trash. Everything is trash. My advice? Leave this hobby forever. We all should.
Do SSD's improve gaming performance? Currently using an 5400 RPM SATA HDD
>>107148353Loading times are way faster.
so basically to play anything modern you need to use upscalingthere's no other way even at 1440p
Is there still only one 32 inch 4k IPS monitor that does 144hz +? This thing is going on 4 years old now.
>>107148353Windows boots under 20 seconds instead of 2 minutes. Same for game loading.
>>107148375M32UP does 160Hz
>>107148383Interesting, thanks for the suggestion.
>>107148381I have an SSD and windows boots in 2 minutes for me..
>>107148353Games won't even run correctly on an hdd at this point. >>107148364Even at 1080p dlss looks better than native usually
I'm gonna sell a custom PC to, say, Facebook Marketplace, but what are the anti-tamper measures I should do to prevent scammers from swapping parts, etc.?>photos of the internals>serial numbers of the parts>zip ties to prevent cables and PSU from getting swappedWhat else?
>>107148489what do you mean, there is zero protection on facebook marketplace, there are no refunds, the closest thing is litigation or schizos who will find where you live.
>>107148489Just say no refunds, all sales are final.
What's your excuse for not having the best GPU?
>>107148489Say no refunds and when making a sale bring a heavy duty UPS so you can plug in the PC and monitor to boot it in front of them.
>>107148364Correct. The only downside is that sometimes the upscaling implementation sucks>your preferred upscaler isn't implemented (applies mostly to FSR4 and XeSS)>the implementation sucks (ghosting, etc.)
>>107148353SSD is basic QoL at this point.
>>107148505>>107148508>>107148549I'm starting a sideline so maybe offering them a 7 day warranty is, well, warranted and will do good for my business?

>>107148607Yeah I prefer 9 like Cirno
>>107148251ddr4 wasnt running at cl40-39-39...
>>107148364that or get a 5090 to play at 80fps 1440p native
>>107147641Text start to look pretty bad once you go over 32" tho.
What cases do you guys like? I'm having a hard time picking between the Antec Flux Pro (Kinda big), Lian Li 217 (Kinda boring) and the Fractal Design North (Unsure if I like the aesthetics).I think the Flux Pro is winning me over so far.
>>107148519It seems to be taking a while to ship.
>>107148610If they're literally permanent then you don't actually have a problem

How about this? 6000mhz c30?Good?I dont know exactly what the for amd means. I am getting amd cpu though, so I guess that's a good thing? It seems cheaper than than the regular one without amd expo so I have to wonder why
>>107149155If it's cheap, it's probably not a CL30 kit.

>>107149332i sezI was gonna use a 4k 43" Sony as a monitor but switched back to my 32" BenQ, the PPI on the larger screen was terrible for text.
using pcpartpicker and my build is always super expensive and then fuckers make a build for less than $1500 with the gpu I want. I'm just trying to build a 5070 machine with good parts
>>107149681You'll have to make compromises somewhere. Also you need to be aggressive looking for deals. pcpartpicker doesn't update shit in real time. Check every possible place you can buy stuff, some places like best buy will price match almost anywhere. I got my cpu price matched from microcenter. Watch for black friday deals to start in a week or two. You'll have a better chance at getting cheaper parts then.
>>107147925I finally got the steam hardware survey for the first time on my 9070xt that I’ve had since launch day. I’ve had it twice on my nvidia systems in that same time frame interestingly enough.
>>107149402and you ran all correct settings rgb 4:4:4?
>>107150332ya I tried many things, it was simply that the pixels are stretched out too far on the larger screen.
