Contemplating what type of Capture card I should buy. There is an offer in my country for a NXZT one and an internal pci capture card. Are there any inherent advantages for building one into my PC aside from the band width? The NXZT would be priced around 20 bucks while the internal at 35.
I managed to suppress my inner penny pincher and ordered KYB Excel-G shocks instead of cheap garbage.

>My properly installed Gigabyte RTX 4090 cable from Montech PSU secretly roasted my rig. Who else survived connector hell? So, picture this: It starts with a few random black screens per day. Sometimes I could marathon games for 20 hours straight, and other times my PC would crash and restart every few minutes for no reason. Diagnosis? Pretty classic GPU crash… But the only thing I’d changed recently was turning on HDR and Windows AutoHDR, so naturally, I went down the software rabbit hole. Now, my RTX 4090 Master is already cursed. Its LCD died months ago after a Gigabyte firmware update bricked it, and no matter how many firmware or BIOS updates I try (we’re talking 50+ attempts, send help), it never comes back to life. Still, every now and then I give it another go, just in case some cosmic fluke saves me. Spoiler: nope. While waiting for Gigabyte to answer my RMA, I swapped in a backup GPU. That’s when I took out my 4090—which I know was seated right (I always double-check after that infamous connector-melting saga)—and twisted the cable a bit… only to discover that, on the side you never normally see, the cable itself was completely burnt and fried. Not just some melted plastic — straight-up cable carnage. And on the PSU side? Yikes, it was even worse: actual melted plastic, looks like someone tried roasting marshmallows inside my PC.The wildest part? The GPU was still working reliably most of the time. It only crashed randomly, never during stress testing or when pulling a ton of power. It’s like my rig was running fine on pure spite.I never sad any fire or problem, I have no idea when this happened.Did Gigabyte’s legendary curse finally sabotage my system? (The dead LCD happened long before this build, so that’s separate drama.) Or am I just deeply unlucky and Montech PSUs are trash?Send thoughts, prayers, and a new GPU & PSU

does any anon have reccomendations on budget 1440p monitors? i plan to take advantage of that $250 signup for the amazon visa and want to use some of that for a monitor and Christmas gifts. my budget would be anywhere from 100 to 200. i dont know crao about monitors other than i think oleds can have screen burn which makea me not want to deal with those. i saw an AlienwareAW2725DM for 190 which has had. alot of good reviews but some users point out that it doesnt have very deep black colors so im on the fence about that. any reccomendations?

>>107237133BX500 owner here, please do not buy these garbage drives. Screw crucial for abandoning the MX500 and keeping this trash around.
>>107238166you're lucky you can buy ram separately In some places they have to buy a motherboard if they want to buy RAM
>>107238208Because these retailers need real PC builders to buy other parts stocked in their shops.
>>107238166Pre-builts tend to use a lot of mediocre components. Like mobo, PSU, case, cooling, SSD.
>>107238208Honestly fine with that.Or some kind of RAM trade in. Like trade in your 2 sticks of 32GB RAM and get a discount when buying 2 sticks of 64GB RAM.Anything to fuck over AI shit.
>>107238237what if the DCs just buy the motherboard bundles anyway and it leads to a shortage of motherboards on top of everything else they have infinite money and don't care
>>107238247you don't need anything special to run a little single ccd chip with a 150W card.
>>107238273costco are doing a deal on an MSI prebuilt right now and one review says it was built so poorly none of the USB slots were aligned so they couldn't plug any USB devices into it
>>107238273You don't need anything special but most people do want a PSU that isn't a power sucking heater, fans that don't rattle, motherboards that inexplicably fail to post, etc.
I fell for the PNY meme
>>107238338>PNY memewhat meme?
I can't believe so many corsair kits were not on the QVL list for my board and when they were it was some literally who chipset like only those crazy expensive dominator kits with the fucking gigantic heatsinks were rated with good dies what has happened to corsair

>>107233005I'm looking to build a new PC next year, starting from scratch because my motherboard is pretty old and I want to upgrade some parts. I'm shooting for around a budget of 1.5K to 2K, but I'm willing to go a little over that. I'm not exactly in a rush, I just want to build something more future-proof that I can later upgrade with ease. I'm from Spain.I have an Nvidia RTX 3060 already, so I could even hold off on the GPU for now.I have this base (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2sXMRV) to start with, based on some stuff I manually picked and PCPartPicker's recommendations. My main use cases will be gaming + game dev + software developing + some light video editing with DaVinci Resolve. I was also thinking of going dual-boot with Windows/Linux.Looking for any sort of advice! I'm pretty bad at picking parts haha
