Nobody made all of them so you'll have to figure it out, and due to acoustic impedance every individual IEM will need its own target, since they all react to it differently.

The concha size and ear canal opening probably play a role but I haven't studied this extensively. What is very important is the use of foam as it creates a semi-sealed environment and also limits positional variance inside the ear. You can also position the earbud at an angle to add more bass by making the bud face the canal straight on rather than inwards the concha.

That said those super thin ones are both uncomfortable and do little for the sound, can't describe it well but thicker ones add a little muffle which is needed on some ear buds but also grip.

The ones I've bought so far don't seem to be all that different, and personally I don't optimize for them apart for comfort and how well they keep the earbuds in a locked position.
