If you're trying to build a bigass array you should buy a large lot of used or new 350-550watt panels. But for smaller shit like my solar pergola or adding solar to my utility trailer I think these are pretty great.

Make sure you remove all the solder and unfuck any pads that need unfucking.
cover in flux.
run hot iron along it and you're done without needing to add any solder(the tiny amount that's on there will bond it). then solder any anchoring points if you've got them.
I got these to fix this fan that only charged sometimes and only with the cable that it was damaged with.
I was originally going to add a piggybacked bms to the cell(s) inside and 3d print a way to mount the new connector on some other space and just thinking about it the idea was getting out hand. hopefully the connector is one of the ones that showed earlier this week.

flood it in fresh leaded solder because it's easier to work with. use the excess solder to heat all the pins at the same time.

remove all excess solder with a solder wick. add flux, add new connector, add new solder.

You'll have bridged pins. clean your tip (Hakko BC type tip is ideal, NOT just "B") on brass wool and use it to suck up the excess. Add flux as needed.

Got myself a Vader 4. for 37 euro i'd say it's a dang good deal.
pros:
the molded plastic texture on the back of the grips and top of the shoulder buttons feel REAL nice to brush your hands against
thumbstick tension really easy to adjust with the wheels
d-pad feels pretty good, with a caveat*
travel time on the L2/R2 are nice and short in trigger mode, just how i like em
back buttons came by default unbinded, which is great for me because i don't usually use em, saves me the trouble of having to download the software
included bluetooth dongle, even tho i'm planning to use it wired exclusively.
decently hefty, doesn't feel cheap

cons:
*i feel like if i'm pressing left/right, transitioning to an up-diagonal feels a lot easier than the down-diagonal
L3/R3 on the sticks and kinda hard to press, somewhat offset by the fact that the C/Z buttons are mapped by default to them

The fault is that you're probably putting too much faith in the armor. That's not the only thing that protects you though, afaik armor is only really good at dispersing force. A fairly likely accident is one where you slide though, and there it's about abrasion resistance. Premium armor in cheap fabric won't save you there.

Having learned this lesson the stupid way, I'd only go with chink stuff if the only option was not wearing anything. Stitching and kevlar panels are a lot more difficult to fuck up than foam inserts. You won't see any improvements from going with genuine brand pads, but you will see loss from dodgy stitching or missing abrasion panels.

Range test completed. (ignore the battery bar, I had already begun recarghing it when I took the photo)

It didn't reach 63 km though. only 62.
I drove mostly at 45 km/h, in the city I drove 25~30 km/h (roughly 20% of the test)
The first 60 km, everything worked as it should.
During the 61st kilometer, however, the voltage plumeted as the battery ran out and the scooter became schizoprenic, one moment it would dip to 13 km/h, the next moment it climbed to 18 km/h like it found a hidden battery somewhere with a little bit of juice left.
During the 62nd km, it became really embarassing to chug along the bicycle path at 9 km/h.
The 63rd km fake, I pulled the scooter home in that final km. It was actually pleasent to pull the thing, the magnet didn't hinder me like what normally happens on other scooters I tried. Maybe it's just because the regenerative brake is at lowest settings.

I can't be sure if the 60V 40AH is real just yet.
The charger is dual 2 amp. I would need to test how long it takes to charge from 0 to full.
If it takes 10 hours, then it's legitimate 40AH capacity.
But this will be done some in a week or so, I forgot to check/clock it this time.

most chink irons have an auto sleep mode, so just use a tip with a larger mass (heavier/larger) and keep your iron on 200ºc (if you are using leaded solder, 280~320 if using unleaded). also, use flux, keep the tips clean (leave it covered in solder before turning the iron off so it wont tarnish while not in use)

over time my earpads just absorb skin oils and stuff and it soaks through the faux leather into the foam. wiping them down every day just buys some time. i've been using IEMs to get around it recently but i much prefer the sound of headphones.
i swear these companies make these pads out of shitty materials on purpose, i still have t-shirts from 15 years ago that are as clean as the day i bought them with no holes in them and every headphone manufacturer in the world still uses the most dogshit materials they can find for their earpads.
