Sure I would hope to see benchmarks that reflect real world performance, and which reflect whether the device thermal throttles or not. But anyway I was just responding to a post which suggested that Android flagships are going to be significantly less powerful than iPhone flagships due to thermal throttling. I would guess that Android flagships are still going to be pretty close on performance to flagship iPhones for most demanding tasks that a typical smartphone user might perform.

I'm still using an iPhone 13 Mini and the battery life is getting worse. Since there is no new compact phone by any brand on the market right now I thought about buying a flip phone.
Did anyone here did this switch and can tell their experience with it?

I've been on Android since I've started buying my phones unlocked and every iteration, it gets worse and worse. I started with Nexus 5, then Pixel 3 and then Pixel 6.
Nexus 5 was the reason why I've stuck with Android for all these years, it was a great device and it was well priced.
Pixels, I've grown to hate. While the Pixel 3 was not bad, the Pixel 6 is hot garbage and I don't know why I even waited this long to switch.
I wanted to take advantage of the Black Friday sales and get a new phone for cheaper. Initially, I wanted to try an iPhone but it looks like it hasn't been discounted for Black Friday while the Pixel 10 is currently on sale.
Should I give Google another shot or just wait for an iPhone sale?

S25U or 17 Pro Max? I can't fucking decide. There's things I love and hate about both.

I went from an a52 5g to a S25+ and i feel like i wasted my money. Yes, the S25+ is faster, the camera is nicer but all in all that's it. Unless i'm missing some killer feature that i just haven't discovered yet it really wasn't much of an upgrade.

What really bugs me is that google (they are the only ones that can) still haven't made a working "find my" alternative. And even if they do it right now it will take years before it's decent since androids dont get updates / people don't update.

If you want to track you luggage or a pet that goes outside (or anything really) you can either buy an iphone and a $10 offbrand airtag with 6mo battery life, or if you use android you have to buy a $100 big bulky GPS device with a weeks battery life and a $10/mo sim card for it.

I am planning on going linux phone for my next phone. I believe this is genuinely viable because the only apps I really use are chat apps that have native linux versions anyway, or media players that also of course have linux alternatives. And maps I guess which I am sure has workable alternatives by now. Anyways, which one would you recommend if price is no issue. Is that $2k liberty phone really worth the money? Or is something like the Pro1 X or SageTea Edge good enough.
